Is Selena Gomez Reuniting With Ex-Boyfriend Zedd?
Despite rumors she’s been hooking up with One Direction’s Niall Horan in recent weeks, it looks like Selena Gomez may actually be looking to reunite with an old flame.
Hollywood Life is reporting that Gomez is hoping to hook up with her ex-boyfriend Zedd, but that doesn’t mean she’ll be calling time on her rumored boyfriend, Niall.
According to the site, Selena is actually looking to reunite with the Russian/German DJ, whom she’s rumored to have dated for several months in 2015, to hit the stage for a very special performance at the 2016 Coachella festival which is set to take over the Colorado Desert this coming April.
“With Zedd and A$AP Rocky on this year’s Coachella line-up, Selena Gomez is considering joining them on stage,” a source allegedly told Hollywood Life of Gomez’s performance plans. “[Selena] feels that Zedd is the most likely option because they have done it already at Jingle Ball, and with her tour starting a few weeks later, it will be nice for her to get stage time.”
Though Gomez is keeping tight-lipped on whether or not she’s looking to surprise fans with her ex at Coachella, Selena and Zedd actually only just reunited to perform their hit “I Want You To Know” at Z-100’s annual Jingle Ball on December 4.
Following the surprise team-up, Selena tweeted out to her more than 37 million followers that getting back together with Zedd for the musical moment at the Christmas event was “the perfect way to end an amazing week.”
Back in July, Celebuzz reported that Gomez confirmed her Zedd romance in an interview with the New Zealand radio show The Edge Afternoons after Zedd’s fellow DJ Diplo claimed that the couple’s short-lived romance was nothing but a publicity stunt.
Setting the record straight on her past romance with the handsome DJ, Selena Gomez told the radio hosts that Diplo’s remark was in fact nothing but a joke. “He said that was a joke, because I talked to him, he said it was a joke,” Selena said, “Because genuinely, first off it’s very interesting that Diplo would think he knew about my personal life, but he doesn’t.”
Selena Gomez then confessed in the candid interview that she still “adore[s]” Zedd following their break-up, adding, “I definitely had a thing with him, which was nice.”
But should Niall be worried about his rumored girlfriend spending so much time with her famous DJ ex?
The big Selena/Zedd reunion rumors come just days after several outlets claimed that Gomez’s alleged romance with One Direction’s Niall is in serious jeopardy.
A source allegedly told Hollywood Life that Selena isn’t looking for a serious relationship right now following her on/off relationship with Justin Bieber, though Niall is still “happy to wait” for the star. “Selena Gomez doesn’t want to commit to a relationship and Niall doesn’t want to rush her or force her into anything,” a source told the site of the Selena/Niall romance rumors. “Niall doesn’t want to give her an ultimatum because he really likes her.”
But despite the swirling romance drama, it sounds like Gomez may not have too much time to hang out with either of the handsome musicians in 2016.
Selena Gomez told Entertainment Weekly back in October that she’ll be hitting the road in a pretty big way this year for the Revival Tour, which currently has more than 40 dates scheduled from May to July in cities across North America.
“I’m ready to get back on the road and see my fans in person,” Selena Gomez told the site of her brand new tour last year. “This album marks a new and very important chapter in my life. I cannot wait to get on stage and perform this new material.”
