‘RHOBH’ Star Kyle Richards Dishes On How Sick Yolanda Foster Really Is And Sister Kim’s Sobriety

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards recently shared some of her insight regarding the current season’s most talked-about drama. In particular, the reality star dished on the show’s latest issues surrounding Yolanda Foster’s illness and Kim Richards’ sobriety and return to the hit series.

Foster’s battle with Lyme disease has been a major storyline so far this season. According to People, Lisa Rinna stirred up the drama in the latest episode of RHOBH when she mentioned the possibility that Rinna has Munchausen’s syndrome instead of Lyme disease. The syndrome is a mental issue, where a person believes they are sick when they really are not.

However, Rinna quickly regretted mentioning Munchausen’s, while the rest of cast members thought Foster might be fighting something else entirely. In speaking about her friend’s illness, Kyle explained how there was a lot of confusion about the disease. Given the length of her fight with the dreaded disease, Kyle admitted that even some of Foster’s own family have expressed doubts about her illness.

“All of us, everyone doesn’t dispute that she has Lyme disease. I think it was, ‘Does she have something else?’ ” Kyle explained. “There was just a lot of confusion about it … There was kind of like chatter about that, but even Yolanda herself has said she has been doubted by her own family. I don’t think that’s something she’s not used to.”

Despite the rumors surrounding Foster, Kyle stated that her friend is getting better, especially now that she is out of Beverly Hills and has some time to relax. “I do know that she seems to be feeling better now,” she said. “She’s been in Aspen, so that’s good.”

Meanwhile, Kyle Richards is currently in the midst of complicated family drama involving her both Kathy Hilton and Kim. Although Kyle and Kathy continue to be at odds with each other, the situation between Kyle and Kim appears to be getting better.

As fans will recall, Kim’s drama reached a high point last season of RHOBH, when police arrested her for disorderly conduct and public intoxication. Then, according to People, the reality star was once again in trouble with the law after police took her in for shoplifting.

With that in mind, the latest episode of the reality series revealed that Kyle was very upset about her sister’s situation at the end of last season. “I can’t really talk about it right now, I really can’t,” a tearful Kyle explained to Lisa Vanderpump at the time. “I’m trying to figure everything out right now.”

However, her co-stars were not willing to drop the matter and continued to question Kyle about Kim’s mishaps. “My sister Kim right now is a very sensitive topic to me and nobody seems to care,” Kyle went on to admit. “It’s unf***ing believable.”

Following her stay in rehab and subsequent sobriety, Kim has returned to the show. While the two siblings are still not close, they have made progress in their relationship since last season’s debacle. According to Kyle, their relationship is still “a work in progress,” and they have reached a place where things are “very good.”

In regards to Kim’s struggles with substance abuse, Kyle was glad to report that her sister is “doing really well. She’s good. She seems solid, and she looks beautiful and happy.”

At this point, Kim is not a regular cast member of the show. Producers invited her back for a few appearances this season, so fans should expect to see more of the reality star in future installments.
