Following a scandal filled 2015, Real Housewives of Orange County’s Vicki Gunvalson is looking forward to a fresh start this year. In order to accomplish this and avoid the level of drama she faced last season, the reality star is officially done with Brooks Ayers.
Although Ayers and Gunvalson have separated and gotten back together in the past, Gunvalson is determined to keep him out of her life. According to Radar Online, Gunvalson addressed the rumors by outright denying that she would consider being in a relationship with Ayers ever again.
“Omg this is completely FALSE! I have not seen him since he moved out in August!… He has caused me too much damage and heartache to ever have him in my life again.”
Ayers was mired in controversy throughout the last season of The Real Housewives of Orange after cast members outed him for lying about battling cancer. Despite the allegations, Ayers stuck to his cancer story while Gunvalson remained at his side. However, after it became more obvious that Ayers was lying, Gunvalson finally dumped him and tried to separate herself from the cancer scandal.
At the same time, Gunvalson went on to admit that Ayers was probably the one who started the rumors that they were back together. In addition to calling his tactics “disgusting” and posting a message on Instagram about avoiding toxic individuals in the future, the reality star revealed that she is back in the dating pool.
“I am seeing a few other men right now and am very happy,” she stated in the interview.
Meanwhile, as Vicki Gunvalson continues to separate herself from Ayers and his cancer lies, she still has a lot of relationship repairing to accomplish with her co-stars on the reality show. According to Star Pulse, many of the cast members on the show felt betrayed by Gunvalson for her actions during last season, and are unable to move forward until an apology is offered.
In particular, her co-stars believed that Gunvalson likely knew that Ayers was lying about having cancer. After all, Gunvalson failed to admit that Ayers was lying until the very end of the season. Considering her close relationship with Ayers and the fact she supported him in the midst of the allegations, the only question is when Gunvalson learned about his lies.
Furthermore, Gunvalson has yet to apologize to her co-stars for all the drama last season. While she has issued a blanket apology, many of the cast members want something a little more personal.
Although she has yet to issue such an apology, Gunvalson did send a message to her co-stars on social media. Gunvalson posted the message to Twitter over the latest holiday season.
“Heather Dubrow, Tamra Barney, Shannon Beador, Meghan King Edmonds – Merry Christmas to you too. Here’s to a great 2016,” Gunvalson wrote.
Unfortunately, none of the reality stars responded to Gunvalson’s message. Apparently, none of them are ready to make amends with Gunvalson. This is not surprising, especially considering how some of them went so far as to demand Gunvalson’s resignation from the series following the controversy with Ayers.
At this time, it is not known if Gunvalson will be making a return to the series. So far, Bravo has not signed any of the stars for the upcoming season, and likely won’t start negotiations until closer to the start of production.
For her part, Gunvalson is determined to put up a positive front in light of all of the drama she faced last year. Whether or not this will persuade any of her co-stars to forgive her is yet to be seen.
