Daisy Ridley’s Ripped ‘Star Wars’ Body: Reveals How She Trained For The Movie

Daisy Ridley can relax now that Star Wars: The Force Awakens is one of the most popular movies of our time. The star was seen hitting the beaches of Miami and showing off her killer swimsuit body.

According to Radar Online, Daisy Ridley showed off her super ripped body in a sexy black one-piece swimsuit that had sheer panels. Not only did the bathing suit show off Ridley’s amazing beach body, but it also revealed one of her spiritual tattoos. The 23-year-old was enjoying a beach getaway with her mother earlier this week. She accessorized her look with perfectly wet and wavy hair and trendy black shades.

The high-cut swimsuit was a perfect choice for the lean and tall actress since it perfectly showed off her tiny triangular tattoo. Daisy’s tattoo features an upward triangle with a line through it, which is the symbol for alchemy or the element of air. Daisy may be a believer of archaic pseudoscience who thinks that air can help create a spiritual awakening, according to the Daily Mail.

But the actress has never spoken out about that particular tattoo. Ridley has only spoken about her foot tattoo, a series of stars, which she admitted that she got when she was only 15-years-old. There is one tattoo that Ridley doesn’t like and that’s tattoos of her face.

“It’s so nice that people are excited about it. But people are getting tattoos! Of my face! Already! And I’m like, ‘you don’t even know what Rey is in the story.’ It seems insane to me,” the star said in the January issue of Glamour magazine.

It makes sense since the actress is totally fierce and toned in the movie. Now Daisy Ridley is speaking out about how she got ripped for the role of Rey. Daisy has been sharing some of her training videos on her Instagram page. One shows the tiny actress doing a 176-pound deadlift as if it’s no big deal.

Her other training video was shared during the holidays, but there’s no doubt that Star Wars fans are learning how to train like a Jedi this week. In another video, Ridley is seen doing a series of lunges, squats, deadlifts, and other workouts that will make you look just as strong and lean as the beauty. Ridley did give her fans one simple (and important) reminder when it comes to working out and eating right.

“You just have to do what makes you feel good, try not [to] compare yourself [with] other people and LOVE YOURSELF!”

In her interview with OK! Magazine, via Perez Hilton, Daisy dished on how she got ripped for The Force Awakens. The brunette beauty said that she couldn’t tell her family and friends the reason why she was suddenly interested in lifting heavy weights.

“Yes (I trained) for three months, five hours a day. It’s weird when you can’t tell people what (film) you’re doing and they’re like, ‘Why are you so muscly?’ And I’m like, I’m at the gym, by myself.'”

Not only did she have to toughen up for her role, but she had to get down and dirty as well. Star Wars makeup artist Amanda Knight told Allure, via the Belfast Telegraph, how she perfected Ridley’s minimal, but dirty look for the film. Don’t doubt this actress because she performed her own stunts.

“We took sand from the desert where we were filming and boiled it in water to sterilize it. Then we’d stick it on Daisy’s face before each take. But it didn’t really matter. When she was filming fight scenes, she was face down in the sand anyway. And there was nothing sterile about that at all. Poor Daisy really went through it.”

Director J.J. Abrams didn’t want the actress to look like she was wearing smoky eye makeup. Instead, Amanda smudged some of Bobbi Brown dark brown liner and mascara onto Daisy’s eyes.

“We didn’t want her looking like she had full mascara on. The Kanebo (Sensai 38C) mascara has a tiny little brush; it worked well and didn’t smudge. We put it at the root and didn’t brush it all the way through.”

Daisy Ridley’s sizzling swimsuit body and strong female character is enough to inspire Star Wars fans to hit the gym in the first week of the New Year.
