Amy Schumer Did Not Meet Boyfriend Ben Hanisch On Dating Site

Did Amy Schumer find her new love Ben Hanicsh on popular dating site Bumble? He’s not in the industry, so it would make sense that Schumer met him online, especially when she’s talked about dating sites before.

The rumors that Schumer met Hanisch have already been reported, but leave it to Amy to clear up those pesky rumors. Although she didn’t divulge where she met boyfriend Ben Hanisch, she did say that she didn’t meet him on Bumble.

Schumer took to Instagram to drop a little truth bomb about her and her new beau.

She also sent out a tweet denying her involvement in Bumble.

So what exactly is Bumble? For those of you that don’t know, their app is designed so that women make the first move and don’t have to wait around from a message from a guy. Men who use the app aren’t allowed to give the first message out, which puts all the control in the woman’s hands.

The site states, “The woman always makes the first move, and if she doesn’t say something to a new connection within 24 hours, that connection disappears forever.”

Sounds like a great concept, but not one that Amy Schumer used to find her love.

It looks like the Trainwreck comedian is getting her own taste of what it’s like to date in Hollywood. Even though Ben isn’t in the industry, their relationship just went public recently, and she’s already swatting away pesky rumors.

As stated, this isn’t the only time Schumer has spoken about the most popular dating app, Tinder. She explained to Ellen DeGeneres while on her daytime talk show that she had found something that’s like Tinder but not exactly the same thing. Instead of swiping left for a date, Schumer said she uses Foodspotting to find the best restaurants around her, based on photos that other users have snapped during their dining experience. It’s for the ultimate foodie.

Since she decided to make the news public, Schumer and Hanisch have shared a few cute posts on Instagram with sweet PDAs, just like any normal couple on social media.

She’s using her relationship in the smartest of ways. While her relationship is making news and getting clicks, she decided to capitalize on it for something good. Schumer posted a link to the National MS Society attached to a photo of she and her dreamy boyfriend.

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is close to her heart, as her father is currently battling MS, a fact that she let known when she decided to write the comedic film Trainwreck, as most of it is based on her life. In the film, comedian Colin Quinn played her father, whose character suffered from the disease.

Even before Trainwreck, the comedian has been open about MS and how hard it is to see her father struggle with it. In a recent interview with 20/20’s Barbara Walters, she was honest when asked how her father is coping.

“Some days he’s really good and he’s with it and we’re joking around. And some days I go to visit my dad and it’s so painful. I can’t believe it.”
