Adam Levine, Maroon 5 Help Area Man Pop The Question During Concert

Add matchmaker to Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine’s resume.

In a touching moment, as reported by Fox 5 Vegas, Levine took time out from Maroon 5’s latest gig on New Year’s Eve to help a local area man propose to his girlfriend during the show.

“We have a pretty special situation tonight,” Adam stated in between their set. “Not for me, but it’s for a friend of ours. I’m not going to do much talking for this moment. But I am going to send it here.”

And with that, the spotlight turned toward local couple Travis Rigo and Heather DeLorem. According to the report, Travis had been planning his proposal since September and Heather, in tears, said yes without hesitation.

In a classy gesture, Adam Levine, flanked by guitarist Jame Valentine then dedicated the Maroon 5 hit “She Will Be Loved” to the newly engaged couple.

This isn’t the first time that a Maroon 5 concert has turned into a headline making event. In March of 2015, as reported by BBC News, Adam Levine accidentally struck an elated Maroon 5 fan in the face with a microphone. Levine immediately apologized for striking fan Stephanie Green, who walked away both seriously unharmed and awe struck after being invited up on stage by Adam following the accident.

“In my flustered state, I might have thrown my microphone on the ground and then it might have bounced off of the ground, into poor, sweet Stephanie’s face,” Levine told the audience, after rushing to Green’s side. “I felt so utterly terribly that I had perhaps wounded this young fan.”

And with a full slate of concerts on the schedule for Maroon 5, there are going to be several more viral moments to catch if fans are lucky enough to snag a ticket to an upcoming show.

According to the official Maroon 5 website the boys kick off their 2016 tour in Texas before making their way up the East Coast. They’ll hit stops in Louisiana, Florida, North Carolina and Tennessee before making their way to Maryland, New England and New York. The band will then head north to Canada before sweeping across the great mid-west including stops in Wisconsin, Ohio, Nebraska and Missouri.

Maroon 5 are currently supporting their blockbuster 2014 release V. The record boasts three Top 10 singles including “Maps,” “Animals” and “Sugar,” the latter of which went viral thanks to a catchy hook and a clever send-off to the movie Wedding Crashers. In the video, Adam Levine and company suit up and ship off to various weddings happening across Los Angeles where they make a unannounced visits to local area weddings taking place. The stunned couples get the unexpected treat of having the most popular rock band in the country perform for them at their wedding.

There was a bit of controversy to the video, however, as it was revealed that half the weddings in the “Sugar” video were actually staged, as reported by TheInquisitr.

“I do want to clear up something about the video,” Adam said an interview with the National given during the final days of Morocco’s Mawazine festival. “Half of the weddings we crashed and the other half were set up, we did that to cover our bases and to make sure we had all the footage. I would say 65 per cent of the video was real. It was crazy and a lot of fun.”

The scandal did nothing to damage Maroon 5’s reputation, however, and Adam Levine and company continue to rake in big bucks as the hottest band in the country.
