Rumors are swirling that Ariana Grande plans to ditch her entire wardrobe. Does that mean the pintsize diva will finally say goodbye to her signature ponytail, crop tops, and skater skirts?
Apparently, Ariana Grande is obsessed with Star Wars: The Force Awakens, just like everyone else on planet earth. She hinted on social media that she’s been inspired by the costumes in the blockbuster movie and would like to incorporate them into her everyday outfits and stage costumes. Back in December, Grande took to Snapchat to show off her R2-D2 crop top and matching skirt combo that featured the signature colors of the popular robot.
While the singer wants to stray from her flirty fashion outfits and costumes, style experts and media outlets have predicted that pantyhose is making a comeback in 2016. Celebrity stylist Ali Levine told Today that New York Fashion Week will feature a lot of pantyhose on the runway.
“We started seeing the models wearing [hose] and I think people wondered, is this something that will circulate? I think that’s where everyone first saw it.”
Ariana Grande has been seen wearing the flesh-toned hose underneath her short skirts and bodysuits. The Philadelphia Inquirer fashion columnist Elizabeth Wellington said that this shade of pantyhose is the ideal “finishing touch to our tailored, midi-skirt looks this year.”
“I do my cat eye horribly every day but I’m getting better! I learned from my mom, who does her whole face of makeup in the car. It’s all about practice — some days the cat eye looks amazing and some days I’m like, ‘wow I need to work on this.’ Even when I get my makeup done professionally I always like to do my liner because it’s fun and feels good.”
Even though Ariana Grande has those days when she can’t get her makeup right, or she’s feeling a little lazy, she should definitely stick to her classic look. It’s working for her. Grande is this year’s annual spokesperson for MAC’s VIVAGLAM ad campaign and lip collection. According to the fine print in the ad, which features a promotional image of Grande in front of a pink and purple painted mural of herself while wearing black suede over-the-knee boots, the collection will be available online on January 19 and in stores on January 21.
Every cent of the retail price of the MAC X VIVAGLAM lip collection will go directly to the MAC AIDS Fund, which benefits people living with HIV. So, like Ariana Grande, you can do some good while rocking this year’s hottest lip colors.
