Madonna Can’t Stay Off Social Media In The Midst Of Her Custody Battle With Guy Ritchie

It seems that Madonna can’t take a hint that son Rocco wants to be left alone for now. She had demanded, and gone to court to have her son, Rocco Ritchie, sent back to New York, but so far, it isn’t working. His school in New York is back in session, but he intends to stay with his father in London. In the meantime, Rocco has blocked her on Instagram, while allowing his father, Guy Ritchie, and his wife, Jacqui, to follow him on Instagram, and he follows them back. Ouch.

According to the Inquisitr, Madonna has posted photos daily with words of wisdom on Instagram, quoting philosophers and her songs in an attempt to get Rocco’s attention, in addition to the support of fans against Guy Ritchie. She asked if fans were “in her gang” on a selfie, so that she could bolster #teammadonna.

E! Online is reporting that Madonna posted “Love conquers all” on her Instagram page, along with a photo of Rocco’s siblings. A judge in New York granted Madonna’s wishes that Rocco be ordered to come back to New York, but he refused. His father has also gone to court in London, and according to him, Rocco will be staying. The whole family is due in court in February.

The Daily Mail says that Madonna is now blocked on Instagram on Rocco’s account, so he is not likely to see her messages to him. Rocco is claiming that his mother was embarrassing him by speaking out to him or about him on Instagram, but she is not getting the message that sometimes kids need time and space. It seems that he believes his father and stepmother respect his space, as they follow each other on the social media app.

“It’s not a great sign that Rocco is blocking his mum on social media, especially after all the rumours that she was embarrassing him with her posts about him,’ a source told the Sun.

Guy Ritchie’s attorney, Eric Buckley, has confirmed that Rocco does not want to live with his mother any longer, and has no interest in returning to New York.

In Australian News, the headline mentions that Madonna’s children want nothing to do with her. It seems that they all crave stability, and don’t get that at home with Madonna, as they are forced to follow her on tour.

“Rocco spent most of the second half of 2015 on tour with his mother and got upset about not spending enough time with her,” said the source. “Even by her ruthless standards, Madonna has been particularly driven on the tour, and when Rocco did see her, he felt like she was trying to micromanage his life.”

But in England, Guy Ritchie provides stability, as he now has three young children with wife Jacqui Ainsley.

“When he’s in England, [Rocco] gets to live a low-key life… He can go about his business and talk to girls without paparazzi stalking him, as Guy has carved out a pretty private existence for his family,” says another Ritchie pal. “He finds making friendships in New York much more difficult. Over here, everyone [is] trying to score an invitation over to Madonna’s house.”

Allegedly, the rules at casa Madonna are very rigid, down to what the children can eat. No dairy, no meat, etc. It’s different at Guy Ritchie’s house, according to a film colleague.

“When he stays with his father… Rocco is allowed to play guitar until the early hours of the morning. Guy does have rules, but he had zero confidence growing up and wants his son to feel as empowered as possible.”

And Rocco’s half sister, Lourdes Leon, has had her own scrapes with Madonna. Madonna explained what happened when Lourdes did not follow the house rules.

“She has to earn all of her clothes back by being tidy, picking up things in her room, making her bed in the morning… She wears the same outfit every day to school until she learns her lesson.”

Do you think Madonna should just lay low and give Rocco time?
