‘RHOBH’ Yolanda Foster Prepares For Divorce Amid Lyme Disease Battle: ‘Letting Go Of The Old’

Yolanda Foster has a lot on her plate. In addition to her ongoing battle with Lyme disease, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is in the midst of a divorce from music producer David Foster. According to a January 5 report by E! News, Yolanda Foster recently moved out of David’s home, and is planning to cut back on her belongings.

On January 4, Yolanda Foster shared a photo of herself sitting on a number of packed containers, along with the following message on Instagram:

“If you have not worn it in the past year, it’s probably time to PASS IT ON…….. #NoteToSelf #LettingGoOfTheOld #BackToLifeBackToReality 2016.”

E! News claimed that while Yolanda Foster’s split from David appears to be amicable, he thought it was best that she move out of his Los Angeles condo and into a place of their own now that they’ve decided to end their four-year marriage.

“David thought it best that [Yolanda Foster] move out,” a source said. “It was his condo they had been living in.”

Throughout the first few episodes of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 6, which is currently airing on Bravo on Tuesday nights, Yolanda Foster has been seen struggling with the many side effects of Lyme disease. During the first episode, which aired on December 1, 2015, Yolanda Foster broke down in tears, claiming she was devastated by her then-current health crisis. She then attempted to enjoy the festivities for Lisa Rinna’s birthday, which were attended by Lisa Vanderpump, Kyle Richards, and a couple of their other co-stars, but was unable to stay for the entirety of the celebration due to her illness.

As the season continued, Yolanda Foster’s Lyme disease continued to be a hot topic — and not only for just her. In addition to her on-camera struggles, Yolanda Foster was faced with a number of shocking comments from her co-stars, which suggested she may not be as ill as she portrays. During one scene, Taylor Armstrong, who returned to the show in a guest-starring role for Season 6, was seen chatting with Rinna, claiming she was confused by Yolanda Foster’s inconsistent social media feed. According to Armstrong, her “happy selfie, sick selfie” posts were misleading.

In response to the ongoing rumors regarding Yolanda Foster and her Lyme disease, David spoke out in her defense.

“I have always had and continue to have the utmost respect and love for Yolanda,” he told E! News in a statement last month. “Which is why it is so frustrating to see headlines questioning her chronic debilitating illness.”

“I have been by [Yolanda Foster]’s side over the past four years to the best of my ability as she battled with the complexities of her Lyme diagnosis. I am incredibly proud of Yolanda’s determination and mission to find a cure, and how brave and open she has been by sharing her story in the hopes of changing the future for others.”

After sharing the crippling side effects of Lyme disease while filming season six of the Bravo reality show, Yolanda Foster appeared to take a turn for the better, and at the end of last month, she and her three children, Gigi, Bella and Anwar, traveled to Aspen, Colorado, where they celebrated Christmas and New Years.
