Jaden Smith New Face Of Louis Vuitton Womenswear Campaign

Jaden Smith has tried the world of acting and got the opportunity to not only star in a Karate Kid remake, but also stand alongside his dad Will Smith in After Earth. Now, young Jaden is going to be featured in the ad campaign for Louis Vuitton’s spring/summer 2016 womenswear collection, according to USA Today.

Louis Vuitton creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere made the announcement on Instagram on Saturday, January 2. The series of ads were shot by legendary photographer Bruce Weber.

Dressed in an embellished skirt, fringed top, and moto jacket, the carefree star does not look at all out of place standing alongside the female stars of the shoot.

Jaden Smith certainly seems to have a pretty unique, if not outlandish, fashion style. In an interview with GQ, the young star stated that his style icons were “Batman, Robin, Nightwing, Superman, and Kanye West.”

“I’m just expressing how I feel inside, which is really no particular way because everyday it changes how I feel about the world and myself, but I like wearing super drapey things so I can feel as though I’m a super hero, but don’t have to necessarily wear super hero costumes everyday.”

Young Jaden was named one of GQ’s 20 Most Stylish Men Alive in 2015. The 17-year-old was definitely making some pretty bold style choices seven months ago when he was attending his high school prom. Jaden attended his prom in a white Batman costume with a protective chest plate, fingerless gloves, and a cape long enough to touch the floor.

But Will and Jada Pinkett Smith’s son did pose for photos wearing a regular suit – a tan jacket and necktie over the White Knight ensemble.

Jaden Smith also wore that white Batman suit to the wedding of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. He never made it clear as to why he chose to wear that at his prom, but Jaden did have an explanation for wearing to Kanye and Kim’s wedding.

“I wore the Batman suit to heighten my experience at the wedding and prom which was fun, but also at the wedding I felt as though I needed to protect everyone there and needed to have the proper gear to do so,” Jaden said.

Jaden Smith’s sister, Willow, became one of the faces of Marc Jacobs’ newest campaign last year.

Style must run in the family. It’s not at all surprising that young Jaden also considered himself to be the king of animal print.

“I think they’re cool and I used to wear them a lot more when I was a little younger. At 13 I used to call myself the king of animal print, because I would wear them almost everyday, but then I became more conscious and realized I didn’t want to be known as someone who wears animal skins only, so I switched to black.”
