Florida Mother Stabs Toddler And Stuffs Body In Suitcase In A Possible Ritualistic Killing To ‘Save’ Him From The End Of The World

A mother from the Florida panhandle has confessed to and been arrested for stabbing her three-year-old son and stuffing the young boy’s body into a suitcase. The mother has been identified as Egypt Moneek Robinson, and she claims that she only committed the crime in order to “save” him from a Biblical flood.

According to a news release made by Bay County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Ruth Corley, the disturbing crime was discovered by police when the woman’s friend stopped by a fire department on Tuesday and reported that his girlfriend may have hurt or killed her child. The friend had apparently heard Robinson’s son crying after she had locked them inside of a bathroom and later found her covered in blood from what appeared to be self-inflicted wounds. When asked, Egypt Robinson claimed that her son was with friends, but her friend remained unconvinced.

The fire department reported the information relayed to the Sheriff’s department, and when the authorities arrived at the home, it was to find 27-year-old Egypt Moneek Robinson “distraught” over the stabbing death of her son. WJHG reported that Robinson had been trying to leave town when her roommate turned her in, already having tried to purchase a bus ticket.

The Daily Mail reported that, according to the sheriff’s office, when deputies arrived at the couple’s 7023 Benton Drive home in Callaway Point home, Egypt did not wait for them to approach her but immediately came forward as soon as they emerged from the patrol vehicle and confessed to stabbing her three-year-old son, Aries Juan Acevedo.

“Just put me into handcuffs. I did it. I killed my baby and put him inside of the suitcase.”

It was at this point that the mother was taken into police custody, but the news release advised that, before she was taken to the station, authorities detoured to a local area hospital to treat Egypt for a self-inflicted wound.

Upon their investigation of the home and premises at about 4 pm on Wednesday, deputies reportedly found the lifeless body of Aries Juan Acevedo wrapped in a sheet and stuffed inside of a suitcase. The suitcase was floating in 2 – 3 feet of water behind the residence in Callaway. The authorities believe that Robinson’s son had been dead for about a day at that point. Ruth Corley also revealed in the news statement that Egypt was expected to be booked and charged on December 30 for one count of open murder. An autopsy was performed by the Medical Examiner’s Office, and it was determined that Aries had died from a stab wound to the chest.

As it related to a suspected motive for the crime, the Sheriff’s office believed that the stabbing death of Aries may possibly have been “ritualistic” in nature based on the rant that Egypt Robinson had launched into while in police custody on her way to the Sheriff’s office. The deputy’s report of the arrest stated that the mother made a number of unprompted statements that the end of the world was imminent and that she was only trying to save her son from the Biblical flood.

“The world is going to flood and everyone was going to be drowned and I can’t be drowned, therefore, I have to be shot in the head. I was just trying to save my baby! Everyone on Noah’s Ark relieved and my baby will relive again!”

Egypt Robinson was originally from Massachusetts and had been living in Florida with her son for the past two years. Robinson had also been working as a stripper during that time. There was no history of child abuse.

Sheriff McKeithen says that his deputies are proceeding with caution in their investigation.

“This is so bizarre, we’re trying to walk softly on this and make sure there’s no assumptions and that what we’re doing is based on facts and evidence. Sometimes it’s not hard to put people in jail, but it’s very difficult to find out actually what happened.”
