Chosen Newton is the name on Cam Newton’s son. As reported by the Charlotte Observer, Chosen arrived on Christmas Eve, with the full name of the baby listed as Chosen Sebastian Newton. On Sunday, January 3, a young fan of the Carolina Panthers quarterback held a sign that both welcomed Chosen to the world and complimented his dad. The Carolina Panthers were up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Chosen is definitely a unique name for a person, with Merriam-Webster defining the word chosen as a special person who enjoys specific favor.
“One who is the object of choice or of divine favor : an elect person.”
Although little Chosen just arrived on Christmas Eve, Chosen is already having a beaming effect upon Cam. This is according to those who work closely with Newton, like Carolina Panthers fullback Mike Tolbert. Tolbert claimed that Cam is already glowing in the wake of Chosen’s arrival. Cam may have kept Chosen’s impending birth as much of a secret as possible, but now that Chosen is here, Mike said that Chosen has his daddy glowing and smiling even more.
“He’s kind of got a glow. You can see it. You can see something’s different about him and obviously that’s it. I notice that he’s walking around with a much bigger smile and he’s a little bit more exuberant than anybody would be this time of year on a Thursday.”
On Twitter, the “Cameron Newton” account explained why he kept the coming birth of Chosen a secret, in order to not distract his team from the fact that Cam’s girlfriend was about to give birth to Chosen.
“I’ve been quiet about this because I didn’t want to create a distraction for my team and appreciate the privacy in this joyous time. My longtime girlfriend and I were extremely blessed to have a son last week. Our family is excited and thank you all for the well wishes!”
Chosen’s mom, Kia Proctor, is getting plenty of attention online — as reported by Heavy. According to the publication, Cam’s girlfriend Kia was a former stripper known as Hazel and has been with Cam since 2013. The photos of Kia garnered nearly 50,000 views since December 30, 2015.
Terez Owens published more photos of Kia and Cam when Proctor was still pregnant with Chosen, as well as more NSFW information about the strip club where Proctor allegedly worked in the Washington, D.C. area.
On Instagram, plenty of Kia’s photos show she’s a big Panthers fan, as expected.
According to Players Wives, Proctor used to strip at a place named Stadium Club, and first appeared on Cam’s arm in a public manner in 2013 at the Kentucky Derby. Indeed, a photo of Newton and a woman who appears to be Proctor was captured by Johnny Nunez of WireImage as the couple attended the Rihanna After Party + Fight at the 40/40 Club on May 4, 2013, in New York City.
