Josh Lucas Welcomes Son
It’s a belated father’s day for actor Josh Lucas. The Sweet Home Alabama star, Lucas, 41, is finally a father.
The Poseidon actor, and wife Jessica welcomed their first child, a son, confirms Josh Lucas’ rep. The baby, which the couple named Noah Rev Maurer was born on Friday, June 29th, in New York at 9 pounds, 4 ounces, kicking off the holiday spirit off right.
The couple quietly eloped last March in New York’s Conservatory Garden, and shortly came out that they were both expecting their first child together.
In January Josh went public with his engagement, telling Jay Leno on The Tonight Show of his proposal blunder. Lucas, wound up proposing to his wife, writer Jessica, after he had a terrifying encounter with a mountain lion while filming in Big Sur, California.
The actor told Leno of the encounter saying that he scared the mountain lion away by screaming, “I worked my way into the trailer and I got in and I decided at that moment that this woman was the woman for me.”
In the past Josh Lucas has been linked to Rachel McAdams, Salma Hayek and Alexa Davalos. Lucas’ last big role was on NBC’s TV adaptation of The Firm.
