Taylor Swift’s ‘OOTW’ Video Looks Kind Of Like Kendall Jenner’s ‘Love’ Video

Taylor Swift and Kendall Jenner have been making headlines for their connection to 1D singer Harry Styles. But it looks like the girls have something else in common.

More photos from Kendall Jenner’s Love Advent Calendar shoot have come out. Every December, the fashion magazine releases daily photos and videos of models and celebrities like the Kardashian-Jenner clan, Gigi and Bella Hadid, Adriana Lima, and Miranda Kerr. Though it’s no longer December, the Love team has decided to drop the unreleased photos of Kendall Jenner from the set of the video she shot with photographer Dough Inglish to kick off this year’s calendar.

The steamy photos show the model taking a shower while wearing a black string bikini. It’s a different mood and style from Kendall’s vampy and campy video shoot. According to Entertainment Tonight, the 20-year-old posed in black lacey lingerie for a “Twilight-inspired photoshoot for Love magazine’s advent calendar,” with a ridiculous special effects video shot by James Lima. The video and photoshoot titled “YuleFire,” shows Kendall dancing around in a burning forest while wearing black lacey lingerie, a black furry jacket, and a smoky eye shadow and dark plum lipstick.

Kendall Jenner doesn’t even look like herself in the almost 1:50-minute long video. In fact, she looks like a gothic Victoria Justice. Lima explained why he chose Jenner for the bizarre photoshoot and video.

“Kendall is the perfect person to play this character. She is beautiful, powerful, fearless, and yet vulnerable. She committed 100 percent to the concept; she was an amazing collaborator. And of course, the backgrounds are all composited visual effects. I would never have put Kendall in a real forest fire!”

Then the reality star is seen covered up in a multi-color fur coat and walking through a snowy forest.

Does it kind of look familiar? Some fans have noticed that Kendall Jenner’s over-the-top Love photoshoot and video looks similar to Taylor Swift’s latest video for “Out of the Woods.” The singer premiered her new music video on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest. In the impressive video, she’s seen alone in a forest as she braves a series of extreme elements such as wildfires, thunderstorms, blizzards, hot dessert sand, snow mountain tops, and rough waters. Some fans have remarked that the video looks like something out of Twilight.

But the singer is not wearing lacy underwear or fur in her video. Instead, she’s wearing her blue breakup dress to symbolize the end of her relationship, according to The Mirror. Things do get a little sexy when Taylor’s fairytale dress rips and turns into a mini dress. The singer is then seen crawling and sauntering through the mud. The video then ends with a muddy Taylor emerging from the woods to a beach, where she finds herself near the ocean.

“She lost him, but found herself, and somehow that was everything,” the video reads after the final scene.

The “Out of the Woods” video was shot in New Zealand back in November and was directed by Joseph Kahn, who worked with Swift on “Bad Blood,” “Blank Space,” and “Wildest Dreams.” Kahn took to Twitter to talk about Swift’s difficult video shoot.

“Taylor was so dedicated to making this video. I was wrapped in snow gear. She was in a dress. She suffered for her art.”

Though Jenner and Swift’s videos are similar in styling, the videos are completely different when it comes to tone and storytelling. Jenner’s “Yulefire” is supposed to be ridiculous and cheesy in nature, whereas Swift’s new music video is simply telling the story of her anxiety-ridden relationship.

The song is said to be about her relationship with ex-boyfriend Harry Styles, who she dated for four months from the later part of 2012 to 2013. Styles is now dating Kendall Jenner, who he’s been seen kissing and playing around with on a private luxury yacht. As for Swift, she has also moved on and is dating DJ Calvin Harris.
