Samsung Galaxy S6: Mini Leaked, Variant Discounts Now Available

If you want to buy the Samsung Galaxy S6 but you can’t afford a luxury smartphone, then you’re in luck. The Galaxy S6 Mini is rumored to come out soon, while Amazon is offering discounts on variants of the popular smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini has leaked online. Rumors have been swirling about the smaller version of the Samsung Galaxy S6, appropriately called the Galaxy S6 Mini, ever since July when photos surfaced online. Aside from the official photos, no other specs or information about the device have been revealed until now.

According to Gadgets 360, an online store may have accidentally released the Galaxy S6 Mini before it was officially announced by Samsung. The listing appeared on the e-commerce site Letstango with official photos and specs about the device. But the listing has been since removed from the site, which means that it may prevent an official launch or announcement from the South Korea-based company. Here are the specs of the Galaxy S6 Mini from the Christian Post.

“The smartphone, being a mini variant of the S6, has a 4.6-inch Super AMOLED display, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Under the hood, it is powered by a hexa-core 1.8 GHz Qualcomm processor, possibly the coveted Snapdragon 808, paired with an Adreno 418 GPU and 2 GB of RAM.”

It also has a 15-megapixel camera with a front-facing 5-megapixel camera. The phone comes pre-installed with Android 5.1 Lollipop with an internal storage of 16GB, but it’s unclear if it has an expandable microSD slot. Connectivity options include Beidou, Bluetooth 4.0, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi Direct.

Samsung has not yet confirmed if the constant rumors about the Galaxy S6 Mini are true. The company also has not revealed pertinent information such as the retail price and release date, but it looks like it’s coming soon to retailers.

In addition to this exciting news, a limited quantity of Samsung Galaxy smartphones is available at a discounted price on Amazon, according to BIDNESSETC. The Factory Unlocked 32GB Samsung Galaxy S6 (model number SM-G920T) is available for $449. It’s regularly priced at $599.99, which means you’ll save 25 percent. Be aware that this factory-unlocked phone only works under the T-Mobile network.

Since you’re ordering this Samsung Galaxy phone from Amazon, you’ll be able to take advantage of the U.S. warranty and free shipping on this discounted model.

If you want something that looks a little luxurious, then you may find that the Platinum Gold version of the Galaxy S5 (model number SG920I) is available for $490. The original retail price was $899, which means you’ll save 45 percent. It’s worth noting that the retailer does not offer a U.S. warranty.

The specs for the Samsung Galaxy S6 include a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display, 2,560 x 1,440 Quad HD screen resolution, and a Gorilla Glass 4 protection. This device also has an octa-core Exynos 7420 processor and has 3GB of RAM. As previously stated, this device also runs on the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS, but it’s better to upgrade to the latest version.

The Galaxy S6 also has a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and OIS support, along with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Both of the phones include a 32GB built-in storage; however, it doesn’t support an expandable microSD card.

It should also be known that the Galaxy S6 has a Li-Ion 2,550 mAh non-removable battery, fingerprint scanner, support for Samsung mobile payment system, and wireless charging capabilities.

The reason for these new releases and discounts is because Samsung is getting ready for the release of its Galaxy S7 smartphones, which are expected to be released in March or April. It’s a little late for the release of the Galaxy S6 Mini, but it’s probably an affordable option for those who still can’t afford these discounted variants.
