Nicki Minaj Stands By Brother Accused Of Being A Pedophile Rapist

Rapper Nicki Minaj has enraged her fans by publicly supporting her brother, who has been accused of the rape of a 12-year-old girl. According to Hip-Hop News, Nicki has caused controversy by making a public display of support for her brother Jelani Maraj. Nicki posted a snap on Instagram that included her brother and other members of the Minaj clan at a bowling alley. Many of Minaj’s fans were furious that Nicki posted the picture and thousand of posts, many of them of a disgusting nature, were left in the comments.

Minaj has remained silent about the allegations against her 37-year-old brother, but Page Six claim that Nicki’s actions have spoken louder than words.

Minaj’s brother, who got married in the summer, was charged with first-degree rape and first-degree sexual conduct on December 1. The charges relate to the rape of a 12-year-old girl, and it is believed that Nicki posted his $100,000 bail. Nicki’s brother has pleaded not guilty to the charges, but it seems that Minaj’s fans are not convinced by his protestations of innocence.

Minaj is one of the most followed stars on Instagram. Nicki has over 43 million followers on the site, and thousands of them chose to vent their anger in the comments section of Nicki’s post.

One of Nicki’s followers wrote, “[D]efending a pedophile is worst I love Nicki [but] f**k that monster, torture and kill him simple.”

Another wrote, “So you’re celebrating new year’s with a rapist, Nicki Minaj is not a good role model for girls.”

A third said that Nicki’s brother “needs to be locked up f*****g on little kids.”

Of course, not everyone was hating on Nicki, and some were quick to point out that her brother had not been convicted of any crime.

One of Nicki’s fans said, “[H]ow is taking a picture with a pending case of an accused rapist supporting rape, she didn’t state anything about supporting rape.”

Another added that “if Nicki Minaj wanna take a pic with her pedophile bro… then let her! Y’all need to stfu and keep scrolling.”

This is hardly the first time that Minaj has become involved in social media controversy. According to EurWeb, Minaj was also fiercely criticized for playing a recent show in Angola despite protests from human rights groups. Before playing that show, Minaj posted a picture of herself with the daughter of Angola’s despotic leader José Eduardo dos Santos.

Minaj captioned that photo with a legend that suggested how much she admired the dictator’s daughter, saying that “she’s just the 8th richest woman in the world. GIRL POWER! This motivates me so much!”

The object of Minaj’s admiration is alleged to have gained her wealth from her father, who is accused of leading one of the most corrupt regimes in Africa. Dos Santos is accused of ignoring the economic and social needs of Angola and focusing his efforts on amassing wealth for his family while the vast majority of the population survive on less than $2 a day.

Back in November, the Mirror reported that Minaj was involved in a spat after she appeared to throw shade at Jennifer Lopez during the American Music Awards.

It is doubtful that anyone has forgotten Minaj’s role in the social media spat of 2015 when Nicki’s current boyfriend Meek Mill accused Drake of using a ghostwriter to write his raps. That social media feud rumbled on for months with seemingly half of the hip-hop world, including Minaj’s ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels, getting involved.

There is no doubt that Nicki Minaj is determined to plow her own furrow. Minaj has made her fortune on the back of calling things as she sees them. Nicki always speaks her mind, and it doesn’t look like that is about to change anytime soon.
