Lamar Odom: Son Posts First Picture Of Former NBA Star Since His Hospitalization [Photo]

Since Lamar Odom has been hospitalized, no photos have been released due to his ailing condition until now. According to Us Weekly, the former NBA star’s son, Lamar Morales Odom, took to Instagram with a photo of his father on Dec. 31.

Since his Instagram account is private, the photo wasn’t immediately available for public viewing, but now a screenshot of the image has been released by several news outlets. The photo, which captures half of Lamar Odom’s face as he poses with his son, and his daughter, Destiny, also includes a caption that reads, “Christmas with my pops.”

The first photo of Lamar Odom since his hospitalization follows a string of reports about holiday drama involving his estranged wife Khloé Kardashian and the mother of his two children, Lisa Morales. Apparently, it all started around the Thanksgiving holiday when Liza Morales caught the attention of media outlets following a subliminal tweet many speculated was a form of criticism toward the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star.

According to Radar Online, Khloé opted not to visit Lamar Odom on Thanksgiving, and stopped by the following day, instead. An insider shared details about Lamar Odom’s Thanksgiving holiday with his two children and Khloé’s visit the next day.

“Liza and the kids arrived last week, and remained in Los Angeles until Saturday. They spent Thanksgiving with Lamar in the hospital. The hospital served a special Thanksgiving dinner. While it obviously wasn’t as good as a home-cooked meal, the family made the best of a bad situation. Lamar seemed a little down though. The kids were there for the entire afternoon. Even though Khloe said she would be having a hospital Thanksgiving, she didn’t visit until the next day. Liza and Khloe didn’t cross paths as the reality star only visited for forty-five minutes on Friday.”

Although Khloé Kardashian may have stayed away to give Lamar Odom time with his children, Liza Morales may have seen that as a form of abandonment. The week before Thanksgiving, she took to Twitter with a rant, slamming those who claim to be Lamar’s family and friends, but “turned their backs, and prioritized business relationships.”

“You see, it’s not about who was there cheering in the stands at basketball games,” she wrote. “No, this is real life. What matters is who was with you when you were at your lowest. Thankful.”

Even though Khloé spent weeks at Lamar Odom’s bedside, many media outlets felt Liza’s rant was directed toward the 32-year-old reality star. However, the criticism hasn’t stopped Khloé Kardashian from moving forward. Although she will be supporting Lamar Odom on his long road to recovery, she has made it clear that there is no chance of reconciliation. She and Lamar only opted to halt their divorce proceedings because she felt it was inappropriate due to Lamar’s hospitalization. Despite rumors about her breakup with Houston Rockets shooting guard, James Harden, New Year’s Eve reports have confirmed that they are still together, according to Hollywood Life.

Lamar Odom will soon be discharged from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, but at this point, his future is still unclear. Although he will be transferred to a rehabilitation center in the near future, no further details about the move have been released.
