WWE Teasing A Match Between Undertaker And The Rock At ‘WrestleMania 32’

News broke earlier this week that WWE legend The Rock would be at this coming spring’s WrestleMania 32 event, which got a lot of people talking about the different things that “The Great One” could end up doing on the show. Some are expecting that he’ll end up having his first match since WrestleMania 29, while others believe that his role will be similar to the one he had at both WrestleMania 30 and 31, where he came out, did some mic work, maybe got a little physical, and left.

Back in November, it was reported that not only would The Rock not be able to wrestle at WrestleMania 32, but he would more than likely not even be able to be there due to a scheduling conflict.

The main thing that was preventing The Rock from wrestling on the show was an insurance issue, where the movie studio that was paying him to be one of the stars of an upcoming movie didn’t want him to risk injury by wrestling, so they weren’t going to allow him to wrestle. The scheduling conflict has obviously been resolved, but as of this writing, the insurance issue hasn’t been resolved, and if it has, it hasn’t become public knowledge.

Many believe that The Rock is going to be involved in something big, meaning a match, due to the fact that he announced that he would be part of the show three months in advance, because him doing anything else would probably lead to a huge letdown.

If The Rock does wrestle, it’s likely that he’ll take on Triple H, as the two of them have teased a match with one another for quite some time now, and before WWE creative was notified that “The Great One” may not be able to wrestle on the show, a match between Triple H and The Rock was the plan.

Even though the common belief is that The Rock will wrestle Triple H if he ends up wrestling, WWE.com is teasing that The Rock may end up wrestling The Undertaker at WWE’s spring spectacular at AT&T Stadium.

“It’s at the start of WrestleMania season each year that the WWE Universe begins to buzz with speculation over who will face The Undertaker on The Grandest Stage of Them All. Despite Brock Lesnar conquering The Deadman’s Streak in 2014, interest in The Undertaker’s WrestleMania opponent remains top of mind, and there would be no bigger blockbuster foe than The Great One.”

“The Attitude Era battles between The Rock and The Undertaker are forever etched in sports-entertainment lore. Should The Most Electrifying Man in Entertainment compete in the ring this April, a reprisal of his rivalry with WWE’s Phenom would surely rank high among WWE fans’ dream matches in 2016.”

The Rock hasn’t been in the ring with The Undertaker since 2002, when they were battling over the WWE Undisputed Championship.

The Rock has expressed interest in wrestling at AT&T Stadium for over a year now, and he’s named Brock Lesnar as a possible opponent. Right now, there doesn’t seem to be a clear opponent for Lesnar, and a match between “The People’s Champ” and “The Beast,” who also haven’t been in the ring with each other since 2002, would make a lot of sense.

At this point, no one really knows what’s in store for The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32. Some believe that he’ll win the Royal Rumble and end up challenging Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 32, while others have said that he may end up taking on John Cena.

If The Rock and The Undertaker are, in fact, going to face each other on WWE’s grandest stage, the build should start by the end of January at the latest. But, even though WWE.com is teasing a showdown between WWE’s two biggest icons, a match between The Rock and The Undertaker does seem unlikely.
