Tara Reid Bikini Photo: Fans Have A Meltdown Over Scary Skinny Bikini Selfie
Fans are freaked out over Tara Reid’s latest bikini photo. The Sharknado star innocently shared a photo of her enjoying a day at the beach with her family, but instead, it’s raised concern among her fans.
Tara Reid, 40, sent her fans into a meltdown when she posted a photo on Dec. 27 of her bikini body on Instagram. She shared a photo of herself with her sister Colleen Reid. The sisters were reportedly soaking up the sun at the Miramonte Resort in Indian Well, California. Tara looked bright and happy in her photo, but fans were concerned about her appearance.
The former sex icon then shared another photo of herself with her sister. Both blonde beauties were seen wearing white terrycloth spa robes. This time, Reid captioned the photo, “Getting ready for the steam room.” In addition to these recent photos, Reid has been sharing several photos of herself with her family over the holidays.
The Echo Examiner had an insensitive thing to say about the former American Pie star. The media outlet wrote, “Tara Reid looks unhealthy and Anorexic in Latest Instagram Photo.”
According to the report, mental health experts have claimed that Tara Reid has suffered from an eating disorder most of her life. It’s been rumored that she struggled with her eating disorder after her split from fiancé Carson Daly in June 2001, but she has since denied the constant rumors.
“I’m not too thin. I go up 10 pounds, I go down 10 pounds. I was thin for a movie that I just finished. Now they’re going to see me and say I’m too fat because I’ve gained 10 pounds…I can’t win!”
This isn’t the first time that Reid has been the subject of body shaming. Earlier this year, she showed off her bikini body in Miami, which had her fans worried about her weight. Reid caught wind of the headlines and took to Twitter to address the rumors.
“I don’t appreciate all the tabloids bullying me! The Photoshop on the pics are untrue I’m just a skinny girl and I do eat! This is old news!”
Tara Reid then took to Instagram to proudly share a selfie with the caption: “Another day in paradise.”

The entertainer has tried desperately to embrace her body despite the critics that constantly get in her way. Tara previously opened up about the “botched” plastic surgery she received back in 2006. She revealed to Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush that the photos of her nipple slip on the red carpet at Diddy’s 35th birthday party greatly embarrassed her.
“That was terrible. I became known as having the ugliest breast in the world. It was all over these Web sites. Millions of them. I was already dealing with what it looked like. The last thing I wanted to happen was to have the whole world see it. The actual center part, where the areola is, instead of being a circle, it turned out to be a large square. It was horrifying.”
Tara then explained the reason why she went under the knife to alter her breasts.
“I originally did it because I had one breast bigger than the other. But I also gained and lost weight so they were getting saggy and in Hollywood you have to look great.”
But unfortunately, she didn’t choose the right cosmetic surgeon for the job. Reid said she immediately trusted the doctor since he was established in Beverly Hills. It was also the same time that Reid got liposuction on her stomach, but after the surgery is when her stomach looked noticeably bumpy.
Dr. Steve Svehlak is credited for fixing Tara Reid’s “botched” plastic surgery procedures. She told Billy Bush that she felt like a new woman after the procedures.
