Khloe Kardashian Will Give Reclusive Rob ‘Tough Love’ After Diabetes Diagnosis [Report]

Khloe Kardashian is completely horrified by her brother Rob’s recent hospitalization and diabetes diagnosis, at least according to the latest report. Following news of Rob’s health scare, a source claims Khloe Kardashian is fed up with his ways, and ready to slap him with some “tough love.”

“This has been beyond the worse year of [Khloe Kardashian]’s life. She was completely beside herself when Rob went to the hospital and thought the worst,” a source close to Khloe Kardashian told Hollywood Life on December 30.

When Khloe Kardashian found out about her brother being hospitalized, “her heart was beating uncontrollably. She was thinking, ‘Here we go again.'”

Just two months ago, Khloe Kardashian’s husband, Lamar Odom, was hospitalized after a reported drug overdose at a legal brothel in Pahrump, Nevada, where he had been partying with women for a few days. Although Khloe Kardashian and Odom weren’t together at the time, she immediately boarded a private jet and flew to Las Vegas, where he was hospitalized and said to be in a coma at the Sunrise Hospital. Since then, Odom has been transported to Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in West Hollywood, California, and Khloe Kardashian continues to be a support system for the former NBA star as his recovery proceeds.

“Even though Rob is fine, [Khloe Kardashian] knows he, like Lamar, is not out of the woods,” the Hollywood Life source continued.

So, instead of condoning his unhealthy lifestyle, which includes a 100-pound weight gain, Khloe Kardashian is reportedly planning to put her foot down, in hopes that tough love is what her younger brother needs to make a change.

“He’s really got to pull himself together and get his weight and health under control. [Khloe Kardashian]’s really going to stop taking Rob’s s–t and feeling sorry for him and be like Kim and administer some tough love. She hates that she has to do this but she knows it’s best for Rob. That’s [Khloe Kardashian’s] heart and she’s going to protect him and help him get back to being the Rob he knows he can be.”

On December 30, a source revealed the following to People Magazine in regard to Khloe Kardashian’s 28-year-old brother’s health moving forward.

“He has to take medicine now to control his blood sugar level. He was also told he needs to rethink his whole lifestyle. He needs to see a dietician and change the way he eats. If he doesn’t change his lifestyle, he was told that it could have serious consequences.”

According to a report by TMZ on December 29, Rob was hospitalized earlier this week after falling ill over the weekend. While in the hospital, doctors performed several tests on the reality star before diagnosing him with diabetes — a revelation which came as a complete shock to Khloe Kardashian’s brother.

Prior to the former reality star’s health crisis, he hadn’t been seen in public since this past June, when he ventured out of his Los Angeles home for a burger run at In-N-Out.

Sources close to the family, Khloe Kardashian included, revealed to TMZ that the unexpected hospitalization and diagnosis of Rob had served as a wake-up call for the reclusive sock designer, and would hopefully prompt him to make a major change in 2016.
