Joey Feek Has Amazing Christmas With Her Family
Joey Feek has been praying for a miracle, and she wanted to spend Christmas with her daughter, Indiana. As this country singer battles cancer, every single day that she gets to live is a blessing. Us Magazine shared that Joey had an amazing Christmas with her family, and her husband, Rory, went to their blog to share about it with fans. Rory used the book A Gruffalo … what’s a Gruffalo? to explain the Christmas that his wife Joey Feek got to have this year.
Rory Feek went on to explain how the story about the Gruffalo is like what is his family is going through right now. They have had a hard time over the last few months while Joey has been at home on hospice.
“In the story, a mouse goes for a stroll through the deep dark wood to find a nut, and he comes upon some difficult obstacles that stand in his way. In order to keep going, the mouse ‘makes up’ something called a Gruffalo. The mouse knows it’s not true. But everyone else believes his story. The best part of the book is that in the end, the very thing that he imagined in his head, turns out to be real. And the mouse found a way to be brave through something that should have been very scary. That’s a little like our holidays here [this] year.”
Joey Feek actually stopped treatment for cancer back in October after being told that there was nothing left that the doctors could do for her. Joey has been at home on hospice ever since, and she knows that every single day could be her last, but pushing through anyway. Rory Feek shared that back in November they realized that this might be a really hard Christmas and that Joey might not be there with them to enjoy the holiday. Luckily, that was not the case for the Feek family. Joey Feek got to spend one more holiday with her family and hopefully a miracle happens and she gets many more.

Rory Feek went on to reveal that their family had made up their own Gruffalo and were pretending that Christmas would be a good one. They were acting like Joey might end up being here with them. After that, they elaborated about it all.
“And when we got to the other side, it turned out that our Gruffalo was real too. Christmas had come and Joey was not only here with us, but she was doing well and we all had an amazing day together.”
Rory Feek also shared that Indiana had an amazing holiday and her favorite gift was getting her own Gruffalo. It is such a blessing that she was able to spend this time with her mom and enjoy it. On their blog This Life I Live, Rory shared a bit more about their big day.
There are amazing pictures of Joey Feek. One shows her sitting next to their daughters and shares that they opened a lot of Christmas presents together. Another photo shows little Indiana staring at the gorgeous Christmas tree. They had a big Christmas dinner and made cookies.

Joey Feek and her family are still praying for a miracle. At this time, Joey is having some really good days and that is a blessing. The Feek family got to spend one more Christmas with her and this will always be remembered by their family. Hopefully, Rory Feek will continue to keep fans updated on how Joey is doing as she has done during her journey. Fans are still sending prayers her way.
