5 Seconds Of Summer: Sex, Lies, Nudes, And Justin Bieber

The Australian boy band 5 Seconds of Summer is receiving some backlash after their controversial Rolling Stone cover story was revealed over the weekend.

Ashton Irwin, 21, Calum hood, 19, Luke Hemmings, 19, and Michael Clifford, 20, make up the up-and-coming pop-punk band named 5 Seconds of Summer. The band was formed in 2011 after they met in Northwest Christian College high school in Sydney, Australia. Things took a racy turn when the four guys posed nude for the January 2016 cover of Rolling Stone magazine.

The musicians bared more than just their skin. Luke Hemmings revealed that he received a lot of attention during their first major tour. The Rolling Stone article noted that when 5 Seconds of Summer landed in Miami for a scheduled concert, 200 girls were waiting for them outside the airport. Hemmings said that he, along with his other bandmates, took advantage of the attention they received. He even eluded to the fact that some of them got physical with their fans.

“When you put four young dudes on a tour bus, playing theatres, then arenas, you’re going to have sex with a lot of girls, I guess. We had a good time.”

When asked if he had sex with multiple girls in the same night, Luke coyly answered, “I feel like I shouldn’t say. You could say that the possibility of that is high.”

Then, he was asked if he had sex with multiple girls at the same time.

“The possibility is high…the possibilities are endless.”

Calum Hood also revealed that he loved the attention he received from girls who were throwing themselves at him because he wasn’t used to that kind of attention in high school. He admitted that he got “reckless” on their wild tour.

While talking about his nude photo leak, Calum cracked a joke about making a sex tape with Pamela Anderson. The rest of the band then talked about searching for Internet porn, and Michael Clifford bragged about receiving a Fleshlight (a sex toy) as a gift.

The four musicians also dissed their own fans when they said that they want to be seen as more than just another boy band.

“Seventy-five percent of our lives is proving we’re a real band,” Irwin began. “We’re getting good at it now. We don’t want to just be, like, for girls. We want to be for everyone. That’s the great mission that we have. I’m already seeing a few male fans start to pop up, and that’s cool. If the Beatles and the Rolling Stones and all those guys can do it, we can do it, too.”

Much like 5 Seconds of Summer, the Rolling Stones and the Beatles were also notorious for having sex with their groupies. Those comments alone angered some of 5SOS’ own fans, who took to Twitter to exclaim their outrage. But, both the band and some of their own fans, believe that their controversial statements were taken out of context. Some fans are even demanding that they receive the original audio of the interview that took place. Even Luke’s own father, Andy Hemmings, took to Twitter to say that his son would “never talk like this.”

The young musicians also spoke out about their pop contemporary who also has no trouble with getting the ladies: Justin Bieber. Michael reportedly said he’s convinced that the Biebs hates their band. Then, he revealed that they crashed the singer’s American Music Awards after-party where he supposedly played his new album on loop.

However, 5 Seconds of Summer have denied the comments they made about Justin Bieber in their Rolling Stone cover story. Even Bieber got word of the controversial interview and shared his thoughts on Twitter (which he later deleted). Clifford responded to Bieber, saying that he’s a “big fan” of the “Sorry” singer.
