Are Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill getting married? Well, at least Twitter seems to think so.
Nicki Minaj fueled speculations about her marriage with fellow rapper Meek Mill after she asked her fans, affectionately dubbed Barbz, their preferred wedding destination on Twitter Sunday morning. The fans were asked to choose between a church wedding and a beach wedding. As expected, internet went into a meltdown with excitement, with most people replying to the Anaconda star’s question with specific wedding locations.
Their answers seem to suggest that Nicki might be headed to some place tropical, with more than 14,000 fans retweeting her message within a space of a few hours.

Now, while many speculated on the intended reasons for Nicki Minaj’s vague tweet, some fans think this is as big a hint the Flawless star might drop about her wedding before it is officially announced. Adding to the speculations is the fact Meek Mill recently gifted his lady a diamond ring that was on that special finger.
“Now this is what I’m talking about baby. Lol. Love u.”
As E! Online reports, although Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill have never formally announced their engagement, rumors about the couple’s engagement began swirling back in April when Nicki received a 15-carat fancy yellow heart diamond ring.
Earlier, a source close to Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill had revealed that the couple are indeed engaged.
“Both Meek and Nicki have been spending amazing quality time together lately and have gotten extremely close these past few months. It may seem like it all is happening very quickly but Nicki and Meek are in this 100. They truly love each other.”
However, speaking to Billboard, Minaj quashed those rumors, saying that the couple were not engaged. But she claimed that Meek Mill had promised to give her three rings before their marriage.
“[Meek Mill] and I are not engaged. But he said he would like to give me three rings before we get married.”
So does that statement in a way suggest that the latest diamond ring and the following tweet are in fact clear indications that the couple are now seriously considering walking down the aisle? Twitter certainly seems to think so.
But some fans saw the humor in Nicki’s tweet, failing to take it seriously.

But while all those rumors could not necessarily be taken for face value, speaking to Hollywood Life, an insider has claimed that Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill are in fact preparing for their wedding in the new year!
“Nicki is giving Meek a huge hint with the diamond ring and wants him to pop the question this year,” the unidentified source said. “She wants to be married in 2016 but she isn’t engaged yet! He is well aware of the hints and will be getting the job done soon.”
We will have to wait and see if the rumors surrounding Nicki’s wedding with Meek Mill are indeed accurate, but if Minaj’s tweet is anything to go by, it might not be long before we hear wedding bells ring on some distant tropical island. Maybe some Flawless rap might be thrown into the mix too!
The Barbz wouldn’t mind that now, would they?
