The Secrets Behind Taylor Swift And Calvin Harris’ Vail Holiday

Taylor Swift and her Scottish beau, Calvin Harris, have been enjoying some time together in Vail, Colorado, according to media outlets.

An inside source told People that “Tayvin” spent the holidays with Swift’s family in the snowiest part of the state. The couple are staying at a private rental home that’s far away, but close enough to the city’s bustling village and ski slopes, according to the alleged snitch. Earlier this week, Swift and Harris were spotted having dinner at the on-mountain fine restaurant, Zach’s Cabin.

Both musicians have been sharing photos of their snow-filled holiday on Instagram throughout much of the week. On Christmas Eve, Calvin shared a photo of himself and Taylor looking satisfied with themselves after they rode along Vail’s rough and tumble winter terrain. The blonde pop star sported an all-white snow ensemble, while Calvin opted for an all-black outfit. Both stars were bundled up in puffer jackets, snow pants, boots, heavy gloves, and beanie hats, with their faces covered up.

According to the U.K. newspaper, The Mirror, Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris could be sending a message to the singer’s famous ex-boyfriend, Harry Styles. Just three years after the 1D singer reportedly crashed into a tree in a similar snowmobile, Harris shared this interesting photo on his Instagram account, which is no longer private. The last time that Swift rode around in the snow with one of her famous boyfriends, it almost cost them their life and inspired the next single off her multi-platinum album, 1989.

It’s been confirmed that the singer will premiere the new video for “Out of the Woods” on Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve with Ryan Seacrest. The video and song is said to be about her anxiety-filled relationship with the One Directioner. During her acoustic performance at the Clive Davis Theater in late September, she hinted about her very publicized relationship with the British heartthrob.

“I’m going to play you a song about a relationship I was in that the number one feeling I felt in the whole relationship was anxiety. Because it felt very fragile, it felt very tentative. And it always felt like, ‘Okay, what’s the next road block? What’s the next thing that’s gonna deter this? How long do we have before this turns into just an awful mess and we break up? Is it a month? Is it three days?’

“And so, you know, I think a lot of relationships can be very solid and that’s kind of what you hope for, for it to be solid and healthy but that’s not always what you get. And it doesn’t mean that it’s not special and extraordinary just to have a relationship that’s fragile and somehow meaningful in that fragility.”

The Mirror report claims that Taylor was wearing a crash helmet in the photo, but the People report says that she has her face covered with a mask and goggles.

This is the second time that the couple has been seen sharing photos from their snowy getaway. Earlier this week, Swift and her brother, Austin, showed off their impressive snowman building skills, which they worked on together with the help of Harris, of course. She captioned the photo: “Really proud of ourselves over here.”

Then on Thursday, the singer was makeup-free and dressed up as one of Santa’s elves, but her famous boyfriend was not in this cute and festive photo. But this week wasn’t all about the singer and her loved ones. According to 9News, Taylor made a stop at the Grand Junction to visit Delaney Clements, a 13-year-old cancer patient who’s one of her biggest fans. A social media campaign was created to give the young girl a chance to meet her idol.

Taylor Swift posted a collage of their visit on her Instagram page, wishing Delaney a very Merry Christmas, and it indeed it was.
