Melissa McCarthy is turning heads during the holiday season, and it’s not just for the first official photo released from Ghostbusters. The 45-year-old actress is also rocking her 50-pound weight loss, which she’s flaunting in the fabulous fashions from her new line of clothing designed to flatter women of all ages and sizes.
As proof that Melissa is proud of her slim-down, McCarthy recently showed off her weight loss by wearing a pair of uber-skinny jeans, reported the Daily Mail.
Staying true to her new goal of eating healthy, Melissa was spotted visiting an organic restaurant called Olive & Thyme in Los Angeles. Located in the Toluca Lake area, McCarthy was ready to choose from the menu of virtuous options such as kale salad or egg paninis with fontina cheese and mushrooms.
As to how she shed those 50 pounds, McCarthy combined a change in attitude with working out.
“I truly stopped worrying about it. I think there’s something to kinda loosening up and not being so nervous and rigid about it that, bizarrely, has worked,” explained Melissa.
McCarthy also credited her regime for the Spy fight scenes to motivating her to move more, with the help of a martial arts teacher.
“The second I knew I was doing the movie, I started training with an amazing martial arts instructor,” revealed Melissa.
In addition, the actress is following a high-protein diet, which she feels just might qualify as her best decision.
“It may be the best thing I’ve ever done. I feel amazing!” she exclaimed.
You can check out how amazing McCarthy looks when her newest movie, Ghostbusters, debuts in summer 2016.
And the reboot, which features a female cast, answers the question of who you gonna call. Melissa is featured complete with a proton gun and chic jumpsuit, reported People.
Paul Feig directs, with Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon, and Kristen Wiig joining McCarthy.
“Abby Yates: Paranormal researcher, supernatural scientist, entity trapper,” is the description for Melissa’s character, who is determined to win over supernatural beings.

But that’s not all that’s lighting up Melissa’s life. McCarthy also just released her latest must-have fashions for her clothing line Melissa McCarthy Seven7, reported Hello.
Just in time for those holiday parties, women can choose from items such as a sleek black jumpsuit or metallic skirt. McCarthy’s website is live and overflows with glitter, glam, and gorgeous options for women of sizes.
Melissa debuted her fashion collection in autumn, and it was a sell-out in achieving McCarthy’s goal of making fabulous fashions available to all women, from size 4 to 28.

“I know what it’s like not being able to go shopping with my friends because ‘women like me’ have been hidden away on a different floor next to the tire section,” said McCarthy of her motivation for starting her own clothing collection.
And Melissa has a message to department store owners. She questions why they separate sizes in a way that body-shames larger size women.
“There’s no reason for those divisions to be there. It’s shaming, it’s categorizing and it’s just unnecessary,” asserted McCarthy.
She hopes she can fulfill the dreams of plus-size women seeking something flattering and fabulous.
“People don’t stop at size 12,” pointed out McCarthy. “I feel like there’s a big thing missing where you can’t dress to your mood above a certain number.”
