Khloe Kardashian Slammed By Lamar Odom’s Camp, Accused Of Lying About His Improvement
Khloe Kardashian has spoken publicly about Lamar Odom’s condition on numerous occasions, but now the former NBA star’s family and close friends are calling her out and accusing her of fabricating his health. By now, everyone with an internet connection probably knows about the ongoing saga involving Khloe Kardashian and her estranged husband Lamar, who has been hospitalized since October following a near-fatal drug overdose.
Almost immediately after he was rushed to a Las Vegas hospital, news outlets began flooding the internet with reports on medical updates. Initially, Khloe spent all of her time at Lamar’s bedside, but lately, she’s been speaking out about his condition. So far, Khloe Kardashian has appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and the TODAY show to share intimate details about their estranged marriage, divorce proceedings, and of course, Lamar Odom’s prognosis and progress made thus far.
However, his family and close friends aren’t exactly pleased with the media picture Khloe Kardashian has been painting. Over the past week, there have been numerous miracle reports regarding Lamar’s cognitive abilities and improvement with walking. But now an insider close to Lamar has told Radar Online those claims aren’t exactly accurate. In fact, the insider has revealed Khloe Kardashian is being criticized by Lamar’s camp for fabricating “Christmas miracles” about his condition because things aren’t exactly what they seem. The insider has also opted to set the record straight by admitting Lamar is still “in pretty bad shape.”
“Lamar has made great improvements after the overdose, but he is not walking and unfortunately there is no Christmas miracle for his condition,” a source told Radar. “He’s still in pretty bad shape.”
The insider also explained why the family feels the stories are being fabricated. Apparently, the “spinned stories” are suggested to be forms of damage control so Khloe Kardashian doesn’t seem heartless ad inconsiderate while Lamar is at his lowest. Since Khloe Kardashian has made it clear that Lamar Odom cannot reside in her home after being discharged from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center despite the severity of his condition, she could experience overwhelming backlash.
Although Khloe Kardashian did spend a tremendous amount of time at Lamar’s bedside when he was first admitted to Sunrise Hospital in Vegas, Lamar’s camp still speculates that Khloe’s presence was an underlying effort to exploit him to boost ratings for Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
“People close to Lamar believe the Kardashians are completely spinning the story, trying to make it seem like Lamar is better so that when Khloe doesn’t spend as much time with him or let him live with her she won’t get any backlash,” the source said. “It seems like they are all trying to get ahead of the backlash that is ultimately going to come when Lamar leaves the hospital.”
“From filming the night Lamar first overdosed to sneaking cameras into Cedars, people in Lamar’s camp believe there is nothing the Karadashians won’t do to exploit the entire situation!” added the insider.
Although the speculation has yet to be confirmed, this definitely isn’t the first time Khloe Kardashian has been criticized and questioned about her support of Lamar Odom as he recovers.
Back in Novemeber, Khloe spouted off in a Twitter rant firing back at social media users who criticized her for dating Houston Rockets shooting guard James Harden while she’s still legally married to Lamar. The 32-year-old reality star reminded critics of Lamar’s alleged infidelity and downward spiral due to drug abuse. But despite what the critics say, Khloe has made it clear that she will continue to be a strong support system for Lamar Odom.
