Yolanda Foster Lyme Disease Doubters Slammed By David Foster: Is Ex Paying ‘Real Housewives’ Star’s Huge Bills?

Yolanda Foster has been open about battling Lyme disease both in interviews and on The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills. From voyages overseas for special medical treatments to symptoms such as memory loss and extreme fatigue, Yolanda has stayed candid with what she views as her desire to raise awareness of her condition. But some of her co-stars on the reality TV show have increasingly challenged whether she’s really telling the truth about her disease diagnosis.

In addition, since her highly publicized divorce to David Foster, some reports have claimed that her ex-husband also doubted that Foster has Lyme disease. Now he’s speaking out to tell his side of the story, revealed Us Weekly.

David attacked what he termed to be incorrect details reported about his views on Yolanda. The 66-year-old pointed out that he too is attempting to manage everything involved with the dissolution of a marriage, and that having rumors repeatedly claiming his alleged cruel comments about his now ex-wife were hurtful.

“Over the past few weeks, a great deal of inaccurate or baseless information has been reported claiming to represent my thoughts and feelings,” said Foster. “It is painful to watch this happen repeatedly — especially while trying to cope with the personal nature of the challenges surrounding the breakup of our loving marriage.”

David made it clear that he has no doubt that Yolanda has Lyme disease. Foster expressed his belief in and respect for the 51-year-old Real Housewives star and frustration at those questioning whether her diagnosis was true.

“I have always had and continue to have the utmost respect and love for Yolanda, which is why it is so frustrating to see headlines questioning her chronic debilitating illness,” emphasized Foster. “I have been by Yolanda’s side over the past four years to the best of my ability as she battled with the complexities of her Lyme diagnosis.”

Moreover, David expressed his pride in the reality TV star for her focus on discovering a cure and her bravery.

“I am incredibly proud of Yolanda’s determination and mission to find a cure, and how brave and open she has been by sharing her story in the hopes of changing the future for others,” he added.

As to why the couple divorced, Us cited sources describing how the Lyme disease battle that took up so much of the RHOBH star’s time and the driven schedule of Foster’s work combined to cause the split.

“David is always off traveling the world for work and Yolanda’s entire life has become her bedroom,” revealed one such source. “She has basically been sick since they first got married. It definitely took a huge toll on the marriage.”

Since then, Yolanda has moved into a new apartment and sought to stay positive.

However, a recent episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills revealed that Taylor Armstrong is closely questioning the diagnosis of Lyme disease, adding additional doubt to other reports that David was wondering whether her health battle was valid, reported People.

Yolanda wrote a blog about her illness that challenged Taylor.

“Those of you who have experienced chronic illness, you know what I’m talking about. What defines suffering? You will never hear someone who’s walked in my shoes speak the way Taylor spoke on tonight’s episode,” noted Yolanda. “I truly hope she never has to experience the journey she questions me for sharing.”

In addition, taking to social media, 51-year-old Foster sought to clarify how she herself views the status of her battle with Lyme disease, providing encouraging words regarding her improvement while admitting she has a long way to go before she is fully recovered, reported the Daily Dish.

Since her original diagnosis in 2012, Yolanda has shared the ups and downs of finding a cure with her fans and followers. Her tweet provides an insight into her treatment and journey.

“60% improved from last year but still in treatment 5 days a week #DeterminedToFindACure #LymeDiseaseAwereness,” shared the Real Housewives star.

As for who’s paying the medical bills for all those treatments, it’s David Foster, according to the Mirror.

Amid the divorce bombshell, Foster reportedly is shelling out a “fortune” for Yolanda’s health treatments. Following the sale of the couple’s $27 million mansion in Malibu, Yolanda received a substantial amount of the earnings to help her support herself.

Her new $5 million apartment in Los Angeles came courtesy of that money, according to a source cited by the Mirror, and Foster has provided Yolanda with more than required per their prenuptial agreement.
