Yolanda Foster’s Lyme Disease Leads To David Foster Divorce? ‘RHOBH’ Sneak Peek [Video]

Yolanda Foster and her husband, David, announced they were divorcing after four years of marriage on December 1, just hours before the Season 6 premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Now, fans are getting to see their final moments air on the Bravo reality show.

In a sneak peek at the series’ December 22 episode, Yolanda Foster and her husband are seen enjoying a vacation in Canada when things between them get a bit tense. According to Yolanda Foster, she and David like the location because it’s just them and nature, which allows them to enjoy one another’s company. However, while David would like to embark on a walk, Yolanda Foster is unable and tells him she “can’t.” In fact, she points out that while David asks her the same question daily, she is always forced to tell him she “can’t” due to Lyme disease having taken a toll on her, both physically and mentally.

“The minute David and I got married, I got sick. Obviously, it has been very taxing on my relationship,” Yolanda Foster tells the camera during a cast confessional. “David gets impatient, and he’s allowed to get impatient. It’s a tough deal for him as well.”

“He’s lost his partner in crime. We used to do everything together, and that is over. It’s life. We’re either all going to get through it together, or we’re not.”

Just months after Yolanda Foster married David on November 11, 2011, she was diagnosed with Lyme disease. Ever since, she has been doing whatever she can to fight back against the crippling symptoms. Then, at the end of 2014, amid filming on Season 5, Yolanda Foster suffered a relapse, which left her unable to read, write, and even watch TV. She was also unable to complete filming on the series’ reunion months later.

In other Yolanda Foster news, her husband, David, recently spoke out against recent rumors that claimed he believed she was exaggerating symptoms of her illness. Last week, a source told Us Weekly that David had questioned his wife, as well as her decision to return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but days later, he denied the rumor in a statement to People Magazine.

“Over the past few weeks, a great deal of inaccurate or baseless information has been reported claiming to represent my thoughts and feelings,” David said. “It is painful to watch this happen repeatedly – especially while trying to cope with the personal nature of the challenges surrounding the breakup of our loving marriage.”

“I have always had and continue to have the utmost respect and love for [Yolanda Foster], which is why it is so frustrating to see headlines questioning her chronic debilitating illness. I have been by [Yolanda Foster]’s side over the past four years to the best of my ability as she battled with the complexities of her Lyme diagnosis.”

On The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Yolanda Foster has also faced questions about her illness from her co-stars, namely Taylor Armstrong, who wondered if her struggles were authentic due to her inconsistent social media posts. During a birthday celebration for Ken Todd, the husband of Lisa Vanderpump, on last week’s episode, Armstrong spoke to Lisa Rinna and seemingly expressed doubt in Yolanda Foster’s Lyme disease diagnosis.
