Lamar Odom Update: Khloe Kardashian Claims He’s Her ‘Soulmate’ Before Divorce, But Now They’re Feuding In The Hospital?

Lamar Odom and his wife, Khloe Kardashian, have had an interesting relationship since they met in 2009.

After being introduced to one another at a Los Angeles party thrown by Lamar Odom’s former teammate Ron Artest, aka Metta World Peace, Lamar Odom and Kardashian became engaged and got married after just 30 days of knowing one another.

Throughout their relationship, Lamar Odom and his wife documented much of their relationship on Keeping Up with the Kardashians and on their spinoff, Khloe & Lamar, which aired on the E! Network for two seasons. The couple also shared footage from their September 2009 wedding on the show.

Then, in mid-2013, after nearly four years of marriage, rumors began swirling regarding Lamar Odom’s alleged drug use and multiple affairs, and in December of that year, Kardashian filed for divorce. However, in the years since, the couple has dragged their feet on the end of their marriage. When Lamar Odom was hospitalized on October 2013, they were still technically married, which left Kardashian in charge of making Lamar Odom’s medical decisions.

Meanwhile, on Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 11 (scenes for the show were filmed prior to Lamar Odom’s hospitalization), Kardashian is finally ready to go through with the divorce and is often seen chatting with her family about Lamar Odom. During the most recent episode, which aired on December 20, Kardashian admitted Lamar Odom was her “soulmate.”

After getting word of a Lamar Odom interview, in which he claimed he and Kardashian were in love and always would be, Kardashian was seen reacting, via People Magazine.

“I didn’t get why [Lamar Odom] is saying this and making things so public right now,” Kardashian said of the interview. “I think it’s so out of character for him. I’m so confused.”

Kardashian then admitted that she still has strong feelings for Lamar Odom, despite their relationship having come to an end nearly two years before the scene was filmed.

“Everything [Lamar Odom] is saying is true. I do love Lamar, but Lamar is all talk and no action. For two years I’ve wanted Lamar to try. For two years I’ve wanted Lamar to show me some effort. But nothing ever changes. It definitely makes me sad because I still believe he is my soulmate. But right now I have to do what’s best for me.”

After her relationship with Lamar Odom ended in 2013, Kardashian went on to date a number of men, most notably French Montana and her current boyfriend, James Harden. However, as fans of the show have seen, Lamar Odom continues to hold a special place in her heart, so when he was hospitalized, she dropped everything to be at his side and support his recovery.

In other Lamar Odom news, his soon-to-be ex-wife is allegedly at odds with some of his team members after she was rumored to have broke news of Lamar Odom’s walking and progress when he really hasn’t been doing that well at all. According to a Radar Online report, the Kardashian family was responsible for media fibs regarding Lamar Odom’s health.

“[Lamar Odom] has made great improvements after the overdose, but he is not walking and unfortunately there is no Christmas miracle for his condition,” a source told Radar. “He’s still in pretty bad shape.”

Still, TMZ sources have claimed Lamar Odom has been walking and is expected to be released from the hospital very soon.
