Next ‘Bachelorette’ Not Rumer Willis, One Of Ben Higgins’ Girls Said To Be Frontrunner

Ben Higgins’ season of The Bachelor hasn’t even aired yet and fans are already talking about who will be the next Bachelorette. Despite the rumors that DWTS season 20 winner Rumer Willis will get the gig, blogger Reality Steve states that it’s “false info” and one of Ben’s girls will be handing out roses in 2016.

Earlier this week, Hollywood Life claimed that Rumer was a frontrunner for the role and the folks at ABC are “convinced she’ll be ratings gold.” However, Steve states that the Bachelorette has never used a girl from outside of the Bachelor franchise and it’s unlikely that will ever happen in the future.

Spoilers for the upcoming season of the Bachelor indicate that there will be plenty of choices when the time comes to pick ABC’s next leading lady, so chances are they won’t need to reach out to Rumer Willis to fill the spot. Would she really want to date a bunch of personal trainers and Hollywood star wannabes anyway?

“In 11 previous Bachelorette seasons, they’ve never cast someone who wasn’t from the franchise, they’ve only cast the final 2 girl once,” Reality Steve writes in a reason blog post. “They’ve never cast anyone who didn’t finish top 4 of their Bachelor season.”

So, if the rumors that Rumer will be the next Bachelorette aren’t true, who are the girls from Ben Higgins’ season of the Bachelorette who will be competing for the role? Fans will start picking and choosing their favorite girls when they step out of the limousines on the January 4 premiere. There’s no doubt that long before Ben hands out his final rose in March, producers will have a good idea who the fan favorites are.

[Spoilers ahead]

Contestant JoJo Fletcher was rumored to be a frontrunner early-on in filming, but Reality Steve’s prediction that she would take third place in the quest to win Ben as a husband didn’t turn that way. Instead, his spoilers indicate that she was the girl Ben rejected at the final rose ceremony, making her the season 20 runner-up.

Because producers typically don’t cast the runner-up for the role of the Bachelorette, JoJo may end up going to Bachelor in Paradise or she will simply go back to life as usual in Texas. Her break-up with Ben will air in March, and filming for the Bachelorette starts right around that time. It would be hard to convince viewers that she is ready to date 25 new guys just days after she gets rejected on the finale.

With JoJo more than likely out of the running, that leaves Amanda Stanton, Caila Quinn, and Becca Tilley as good candidates for the next Bachelorette.

Spoilers indicate that Amanda, a single mother-of-two from California, takes fourth place this season, leaving after the hometown dates episode. There was some criticism when single mother Emily Maynard was picked as the season 8 Bachelorette, but fans loved her in the role. Although she didn’t find lasting love with her final pick, Jef Holm, she is now happily married and enjoying life with her daughter, Ricki. and her 5-month-old son, Jennings.

Spoilers indicate that Caila Quinn will take third place on Ben’s season and there’s a possibility that she could be considered for the Bachelorette. However, Reality Steve states that she may turn out to be this season’s drama queen and fans will either love her or “just be flat out annoyed by her.” Time will tell if the show’s producers think she has what it takes to hand out roses next year.

Another name in the Bachelorette rumor mill is Becca Tilley. Will it be “third time’s a charm” or is it time to stop recycling cast members? Becca was the runner up on Chris Soules’ season of the Bachelor and spoilers indicate that this season she was sent home before Ben went on hometown dates. Although the gig is usually given to someone in the top four, Becca has a big fan following, so don’t count her out just yet.

Watch the Bachelor season 20 premiere on January 4, 2016, on ABC and see if you can pick out who will be the next Bachelorette.
