Casey Anthony’s Lawyer Reveals ‘Serious Mental Illness’ in Tell-All

Looks like Casey Anthony’s public image isn’t getting any better. Her former lawyer, Jose Baez, who represented her in the controversial case surrounding the death of her daughter, Caylee, has written a tell-all. As it turns out the lawyer has a lot to tell, and it’s not about whether or not he thought she was guilty or innocent of the crime.

In Presumed Guilty, Casey Anthony: The Inside Story, Baez unveils that Casey Anthony at times lived “in a fantasy world.” In addition to that, he has made claims that she has some major mental health issues to contend to, stating that the detectives should have known, ” ‘Wait a minute, we’re not dealing with someone who is playing with a full deck.’ ”

As it’s famously known, Anthony gave conflicting story, telling the cops that Caylee was kidnapped by a babysitter and that she took on her own search for about a month before she even reported her missing to the police. Of course, Baez argued against this game plan and said Caylee drowned and that it was the defendant’s father that hid her body.

When asked why he chose to write the book about Anthony after all is said and done, Baez explained, “I wrote the book because there was so much that people didn’t know, and still don’t know,This book is more than 420 pages of nothing but the inside story. I think people’s reaction will be surprised at how much they don’t know. My goal wasn’t to change anyone’s minds. My goal was to tell the story and if people change their minds, it will be because [they learned] more facts.”

Although the book is about Casey, Baez insists that she will not profit from it “in any way, shape or form.”

Do you think this book will change the public perception of Casey Anthony?
