David Foster Sure That Yolanda Just ‘Loves The Attention Of Being Sick’: Yolanda Looks To The Fond Memories

Yolanda Foster has reportedly been suffering from Lyme Disease for the past three years with the last year keeping her in a bed-ridden state. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star went from being the picture of health and happiness in the first season she was a part of the show to enduring a debilitating sickness and experiencing a split from husband, David Foster.

Foster is not sold on the supposed seriousness of the sickness, and he is sure that Yolanda is exaggerating the illness purely for attention during a difficult time. A source spoke to the Daily Mail on the issue and shared the feelings of David and his family on the matter of Yolanda’s illness.

“David and his family think Yolanda just loves the attention of being sick. They believe she’s exaggerating her condition. And they point out that she’s never gotten a legit diagnosis or a second or third opinion.”

Yolanda’s close friends are, however, going to bat for the estranged wife of David Foster and are adamant that “‘The sickness is very real and not fake.”

Yolanda shared her own view on her illness and gave her perspective on the situation by way of her blog on Bravo. The former model is clearly maintaining a positive outlook, despite the challenges she is currently facing, and she recently moved into her own apartment in Los Angeles.

“A new week, a new chapter in my life. Time to get back to my boxes…I know it’s going to be a slow process, but I can’t wait to make this new space feel like a happy home. In the meantime I continue to stay focused on my children. Having made great strides in the past six months, I remain hopeful and determined for a healthy future with love, light, and gratitude in my heart, because I am beyond blessed after all…”

Yolanda has been open about how her illness has taken a toll on her relationship with David and admits that the Lyme Disease definitely played a role in their breakup. She disclosed these facts when she paid a visit to Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live show, telling Andy the details with great candor.

“Unfortunately it was not strong enough to withstand the circumstances that came our way. Well, chronic long-term illness is extremely challenging. Not only for the person sick but also for the caregiver. It for sure changed the dynamic of the relationship. The truth is that we both worked through the difficult time through the best of our ability, so rather than judging what went wrong, I pick to honor the great times that we shared the last nine years. There were a wealth of good times.”

Yolanda and David shared eight kids between them from previous marriages, including the supermodels, Gigi Hadid, 20, and Bella Hadid, 19, along with her son, Anwar Hadid, 16, who began a modeling career of his own. As a mom. she has always been the voice of reason and a good influence on her children, as well as for the women on the reality show, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Yolanda is certainly in a difficult spot when she is so used to being the pillar of strength and support for others. The outcome of such a terrible illness is heartbreaking for the beauty and her family.

Yolanda spoke about how she mourned the end of her marriage and dealt with the break up in another video.

As a couple, David and Yolanda Foster enjoyed nine years of marriage, and the relationship was one that appeared to be solid and enviable up until Yolanda became so ill. The couple celebrated their life together on a beautiful estate and enjoyed years of love. It is a shame that Yolanda’s illness took such a toll on their marriage. However, as US Weekly reports, Yolanda is hopeful for a new love in the future.

Editor’s Note: The Inquisitr received the following statement from David Foster.

“Over the past few weeks, a great deal of inaccurate or baseless information has been reported claiming to represent my thoughts and feelings. It is painful to watch this happen repeatedly – especially while trying to cope with the personal nature of the challenges surrounding the breakup of our loving marriage.

I have always had and continue to have the utmost respect and love for Yolanda, which is why it is so frustrating to see headlines questioning her chronic debilitating illness.

I have been by Yolanda’s side over the past four years to the best of my ability as she battled with the complexities of her Lyme diagnosis. I am incredibly proud of Yolanda’s determination and mission to find a cure, and how brave and open she has been by sharing her story in the hopes of changing the future for others.”
