Saint West Makes Public Debut As Kim Kardashian And Kanye West Take Baby For Checkup [Pics]
At just 12 days old, Kim Kardashian’s baby has finally made his public debut — sort of.
Kim Kardashian and husband Kanye West were spotted Thursday in public for the first time since Saint West was born on December 5. According to reports, the Kardashian-West family (North West included) were taking Saint to a checkup at the doctor’s office.
Admittedly, Saint West can’t actually be seen in the photos. In the pictures, father Kanye West is seen carrying a baby car seat, which is enclosed with a car seat cover, blocking Saint West from view. The photos also show Kim K, who is decked out in sunglasses and a long coat, carrying North West. The photos are believed to be the first full-body shots of the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star since Saint was born. Check out the photos below.

The fact that Kardashian and West covered their baby to take him out in public isn’t really all that surprising. If you’ll remember, they did the same with daughter North West. Admittedly, Saint is probably one of the most famous babies in the world right now, but covering him when in public is probably not simply to avoid the paparazzi taking pictures of Kim Kardashian’s baby.

Making sure that Saint is covered has some practical purposes, as well. According to Wellness.com, the immune systems of babies are not fully developed until they are about 6-months-old, so often times parents like to protect newborn babies from airborne germs through the use of car seat covers and the like. Parents magazine adds that it’s best for newborns to avoid crowded places until they are about 8-weeks-old — especially during cold and flu season.
Saint West was born after much speculation on December 5. He weighed eight pounds, one ounce.
The post-baby photos come shortly after Kim Kardashian showed herself on her website and app for the first time since Saint’s birth. The 35-year-old KUWTK star chose only to show her body from the chest up, leaving many fans to speculate that she simply wasn’t ready to show the rest of her post-baby body to the world yet. In recent days, Kardashian has revealed that she’s already lost 17 pounds since her son was born, and in total, she’d like to lose a whopping 70 pounds.
The new pictures of Saint West come on the heels of a security scare at Kris Jenner’s house, where Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, and family are currently living. According to reports, an obsessed fan walked into Jenner’s house on Tuesday after he told Jenner’s security team that he was a member of the crew setting up Jenner’s Christmas decorations.

The intruder walked into Kris’ office and attempted to have a face-to-face conversation with the Kardashian-Jenner matriarch, according to reports, before Kris called the police and had the man arrested. At the time of the intrusion, Kim K and her children were reportedly home in the house. In the days since the security breach, Jenner has fired her entire security team and Kanye has brought his own guards to the house for protection.
Clearly, protecting Kim Kardashian’s baby and toddler are of the utmost importance to the Kardashian-West family, regardless of whether the crew is at home or out in public.
