Anna Duggar Shock & Josh Duggar Scandal Exploited For Profit, Says Duggars Cousin: Anna Burnt By Betrayal [Video]

Josh Duggar has provided his family, his wife Anna Duggar in particular, with heartbreak and shock ever since the news that he had been linked to accounts on the Ashley Madison website for infidelity. That revelation follows the reports, which some family members already knew, that Josh had molested several underage girls as a teen, including some of his sisters. But when Josh confessed to cheating on Anna and an addiction to pornography, the 27-year-old stunned the entire Duggar family.

And although 19 Kids and Counting was cancelled, the Duggars have a new show, Jill & Jessa: Counting On. Although the names of two of the sisters Josh molested, Jill Duggar and Jessa Duggar, are in the title of the show, it’s Anna Duggar who gets center stage in the upcoming episode by revealing her true feelings about what Josh did, reported Radar Online.

Josh and Anna have four children, and her emotions reflect how she has struggled to play the role of single parent while coping with Josh’s betrayal, since Duggar entered rehab for sex addiction therapy soon after his latest confessions.

“I think it is such a betrayal for a spouse to go through what we’re walking through,” said Anna. “It was hard to realize that it was such a public [ordeal].”

In asking Anna to reveal her emotional pain on camera, are the Duggars exploiting her? At least one member of the extended Duggar clan contends that’s true.

Amy Duggar is known as the rebel cousin of the family, and her husband, Dillon King, is attacking the Duggars for taking Anna’s heartbreak and exploiting it for profit.

“It looks like they are using all the emotion for ratings,” declared King. “It’s just not right.”

Dillon also shared how he viewed what Josh had done following a joke by Brad Paisley about Duggar at the recent Country Music Awards. King praised Paisley as “the man” for his comments.

“@bradpaisley you are the man!!! #bestthingever,” posted Dillon on social media.

During her interview for Jill & Jessa: Counting On, Anna makes it clear that she views what Duggar did as a betrayal not just against her but against all Christians, revealed People.

And she expressed how bitter she felt about that betrayal.

“I think it is such a betrayal for a spouse to go through what we’re walking through. Not only was it a betrayal against me, but it was also a betrayal against those that call themselves Christian because here we were as a Christian couple.”

Moreover, Anna recalls getting married to Josh before friends, family, and the public. Those vows of loyalty were shattered by Duggar, says Anna following her husband’s shocking confessions.

“Everyone was able to see us get married and to vow before God to be loyal to each other, and that loyalty was broken. And so, for my heart, it was just broken,” added the 27-year-old heartbroken mother of four.

What has helped Anna to recover is her religious beliefs since learning that the man she views as not just her first love but her only love had betrayed her.

“[Josh is] my first love. He’s my one and only,” revealed Anna.

And so Duggar’s wife prayed for help to avoid taking what she describes as a “mess” into a potential disaster.

“I knew if I went off of what I was feeling, I would turn a mess into a disaster,” Anna explained. “In the stun and in the shock of everything, I was just praying, ‘God, help me to respond to all of this.’ I didn’t know what to do. I knew we needed help, and I was just praying God would give the wisdom and the help that we needed to take the next step.”

The episode also showcases Anna caring for her baby girl Meredith Grace and getting compliments from Jinger Duggar, one of Josh’s younger siblings.

“Anna is amazing,” praises Jinger. “She displays to each one of us what it is to have unconditional love, and she’s walking through this better than any one of us could have ever imagined.”
