Rob Kardashian was rumored to be doing well and losing weight just months ago, but now, it appears he has taken a turn for the worse. Following Us Weekly‘s claim in September that Rob Kardashian was working out, losing weight, and planning for a Keeping Up With The Kardashians return, a new report seems to hint that a comeback is far from in the works.

“[Rob Kardahian] is still struggling and it makes the family sad,” a source told People Magazine on December 16. “He deals with depression, weight issues and low self-esteem, but that’s been going on for a long time.”

In 2012, Rob Kardashian quit his role on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and since then, he has skipped out on tons of family activities and continues to steer clear of any public events. Most notably, perhaps, was Rob Kardashian’s absence during his sister Kim’s wedding to Kanye West in May 2014. Although Rob Kardashian was spotted at the airport ahead of the ceremony, he eventually opted to skip it and flew home by himself.

“The family, especially Khloé, is very much there for him but it has to be his own journey to figure out,” People Magazine‘s source added of Rob Kardashian’s personal issues.

Just a couple of month ago, after Us Weekly‘s source claimed Rob Kardashian had already filmed scenes for Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and was ready to reclaim his $2 million per year salary for appearing on the show, Khloe, who he lived with for years up until last month, spoke of her frustrations with his ongoing mental struggles.

“He’s such a great guy. That’s also what’s so infuriating,” Khloé told People Magazine in October. “He’s charming, charismatic, everything. But I’m like, where is your will to live? Where is your will to live life? Let’s be around people!”

“I’ve been working on my patience. I’ve been really trying. But I have my moments and I do snap … I can’t win life for [Rob Kardashian]. I have to wait until [he’s] ready to do it for himself.”

In addition to People‘s latest report, a second report on December 17 claimed Rob Kardashian could be headed to rehab to address his issues once and for all, and after years of depression, that may be what’s best for the reality star turned sock designer.

“[Rob Kardashian] has gone off the rails again,” an insider told Radar Online. “He is, once again, out of control.”

In fact, Caitlyn Jenner, who was a big part of Rob Kardashian’s childhood, “has been saying she really feels like Rob needs to go into rehab.”

According to the report, Rob Kardashian was doing well for a while, but now, he has gone “off the radar” and reportedly feels neglected due to the family’s focus on his older sister, Kim, who recently endured the high-risk birth of her second child, son Saint West.

At this point, claimed Radar Online‘s source, nobody in the family was sure what to do about Rob Kardashian because he won’t even leave his house.

While Rob Kardashian continues to steer clear of E! cameras, his family speaks of him on occasion, and during an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians earlier this year, Rob Kardashian’s mother was seen speaking to a life coach about his struggles, claiming she was scared for what his future may hold.
