Gwen Stefani Meets Blake Shelton’s Parents, Locals Talk Difference In Miranda And Gwen

Things are going great between Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, and now the family is even getting involved. Radar Online shared that Blake took Gwen home to meet the parents, and they loved her. A family friend of Blake is now speaking out about how things went for the two. Marilyn Phillips revealed that Gwen got to meet Blake’s mom, Dorothy, and step-dad, Mike Shackleford, in Oklahoma. Obviously, Blake wouldn’t be doing this if things were not great with Gwen.

Here is what Phillips had to say about Gwen meeting the parents.

“I think when Blake introduced her to the family here it’s the most country she’s ever been. She’ll have to get used to it. He took her to all the local joints. There’s not a Starbucks within 50 miles of here!”

Of course, Gwen Stefani is used to living in California, and things are a lot different there. When Blake was married to Miranda Lambert, the couple would do a lot of things in the country, including hunting. This is not the kind of thing Gwen Stefani is used to, but it sounds like Blake is ready to introduce her to it all. Phillips went on to explain that she thinks Gwen and Blake are a good match.

“I think it’s great he’s dating Gwen. They say opposites attract and this is a perfect example. Blake and Gwen are essentially from two different worlds so it must be exciting for them.”

Blake’s friends are also speaking out about Gwen Stefani and how she is different than Miranda Lambert. Justin Perry, who manages Atwoods Ranch and Home in Madill, shared that Miranda would come in but wouldn’t take pictures with anyone.

He shared, “[Miranda’s] a very cold person, very stuck up, you know? She would try to act like a bigger celebrity than him.”

Ouch! You know that Lambert won’t be happy to hear that this is what they had to say about her.

Now that The Voice is done filming, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are going to have to work a bit harder on their relationship for it to work. Blake actually lives in Oklahoma, and both of them will have things to do with their music careers. Blake will be back in California for the next season of The Voice, but Gwen will not be on it. Once Blake returns to California, that will make things a bit easier on the happy couple. They may spend the holidays together, but so far that has not been confirmed. Sources say that Blake wanted to have Gwen and the boys come to Oklahoma for Christmas.

Hollywood Life actually shared rumors that Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are thinking about eloping after her divorce is final. Several different sources shared that the couple is doing so great that marriage could be the next step. Of course, so far this is just a rumor, and Gwen and Blake are not speaking out about it at all. It would be shocking if they were to take this step so soon after their divorces.

Blake Shelton got a divorce from Miranda Lambert back in July. Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale are not together anymore, but their divorce is not final yet. They have three boys together and didn’t have a tight prenup like Miranda and Blake did, so it is taking a bit longer to get everything done.
