Lamar Odom Medical Bills To Exceed $10 Million, Will Khloe Kardashian Pay?

Lamar Odom has been in the hospital since October 13, and it’s going to cost him. According to a new report, Lamar Odom’s medical bills have reached $750,000 in 2015 and continue to climb as he remains under medical care at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in West Hollywood, California.

“By the end of the year, he’ll have easily made at least a $10m dent in his $55m fortune,” an insider told Radar Online on December 16. “There’s no end in sight and he’s completely unaware of what’s going on.”

Lamar Odom was found unconscious at Dennis Hof’s Love Ranch, a legal brothel in Pahrump, Nevada, on October 13 and quickly taken to a hospital nearby, where he was said to be in a coma. Days later, after Lamar Odom woke up from his coma and began communicating with those around him, which included Khloe Kardashian, Liza Morales, and his two children, Destiny and Lamar Odom Jr., the former professional athlete was transferred to Los Angeles via medical helicopter.

As his medical care continues, Radar Online’s source claims Lamar Odom’s wife is digging him into a financial hole that he may have trouble getting out of. As many will recall, Kardashian was left in charge of Lamar Odom’s medical care due to their divorce having not yet been finalized by the time he was hospitalized.

“Khloe’s managing most of it, but to her money’s no object and she’s signing [Lamar Odom] up for the best treatments money can buy. The fact they’re still only married in name has everyone on [Lamar Odom]’s side freaking out because they know he’s going to be left with all these bills when she finally kicks him out.”

“[Lamar Odom] needs this treatment. It’s what saved his life – but who’s going to pay for it all is going to cause some legal hell down the line,” the source added.

For the past couple of weeks, as he remains at the hospital, Lamar Odom has been a hot topic on Keeping Up with the Kardashians. During recent episodes of the show, his wife has spoken of him on occasion, and during the series’ most recent episode, she was seen yelling at her mother, with Kim in tow, after finding out that Kris Jenner had given her new cell phone number to Lamar Odom without her permission.

Although things between Kardashian and her mother were quite heated, the drama didn’t stop at the end of the episode. As Radar Online revealed in a sneak peek at next week’s episode, Jenner’s meddling will soon be the target of a harsh rant by Kim.

“You just have a sentimental thing with [Lamar Odom], and at some point you’ve got to get over it because what you did created a bigger stream of problems… Her talking to [Lamar Odom] and you saying Lamar deserves a second chance, that is so wrong. That’s being a bad mother,” Kim fired at her mother.

Lamar Odom married Kardashian in September 2009, and in 2013, the couple parted ways. Following rumors of possible drug use and affairs, Khloe filed for divorce from Lamar Odom, and several months later, she began dating other people. Still, as fans have seen on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kardashian and Lamar Odom continued to have contact until earlier this year, prior to his hospitalization.

While Lamar Odom and Kardashian are expected to divorce soon, she has remained by his side throughout his recovery.
