Kim Kardashian Sets 70-Lb Weight Loss Goal, Posts Throwback Playboy Pic, & Eats Placenta For Depression [Photos]

Kim Kardashian is waging a weight loss war that she’s determined to win after giving birth to her second child Saint West. And even though her son was born less than two weeks ago, arriving early on December 5, Kim has already succeeded in shedding 17 pounds of her post-pregnancy weight, reported ABC News.

Although Kardashian revealed that she was busy concocting Chicago deep-dish pizza for Caitlyn Jenner, she summed up her willpower by skipping the treat, which she discussed on a website live stream.

“Going live! Christmas decorating & Cooking with Caitlyn on my app now,” shared Kim.

Now the mother of two, the 35-year-old reality TV star confessed that she acquired 60 extra pounds during her second pregnancy, topping the scale at 190 pounds at the conclusion of her third trimester.

“I almost died,” claimed Kardashian.

Kim has set herself a goal of losing a total of 70 pounds in order to weigh in at 120 pounds. That will mean she’ll weigh less than when she tied the knot with Kanye West.

Jenner complimented Kim’s 17-pound weight loss, which she credits to a combination of eating right and breastfeeding.

“You are looking much better,” praised Caitlyn.

Although Kardashian said she was feeling better, she remained away from the camera’s view throughout the live stream.

“It’s not even about how I look… no makeup and sweats,” shared Kim. “I know I have been on social media a little bit, but I wanted this time to not have to care or post something about myself.”

Kardashian added that she feels recovering is more challenging this time than after giving birth to North West. Her little girl is now 2.

“This feels like a really hard recovery but we will get through it,” vowed Kim. “Everyone does it.”

Kardashian didn’t just face temptation from pizza. She also teamed up with North to create cupcakes for Kanye, reported E! News.

Sharing the cooking creativity on a website live stream, Kim and North worked in her momager Kris Jenner’s kitchen to enjoy the sweet experience.

“We have to surprise daddy with these cupcakes,” Kardashian explained to the little girl.

Now that she’s a big sister, North has adopted a variety of nicknames, including Northie, Kim, and Auntie Kourty Kim, revealed the proud mother of two. North also appreciated the holiday decorations in their home, which included enormous trees and ornaments in red and white.

“North is in heaven. She walks by and screams at all the candy canes,” laughed Kardashian. “I am probably putting my mom on blast because she probably acts like she does this herself but she really has 50 people doing it.”

Kim made it clear that she longs for her pre-baby body by sharing a throwback photo of herself from 2007, when she was filmed for Playboy magazine, reported Us Weekly.

“I found these old photos from my December 2007 Playboy Magazine shoot by Hype Williams and had to post them!” posted Kardashian.

In addition to setting a weight loss goal, Kim has decided she wants to eat her placenta. Well, sort of. Kardashian explained that her placenta is freeze-dried and transformed into pills, revealed People.

“I’m having it freeze-dried and made into a pill form — not actually fry it like a steak and eat it (which some people do, BTW),” posted Kim on her site.

The new mom came up with the idea because she learned about some mothers who said that after postpartum depression following the birth of their first babies, they tried placenta pills with the second child and did not have the same problem.

“So I thought, why not try it? What do I have to lose?” mused Kardashian.

How does it work? Doula Joni Lucarelli, who encapsulates placentas, clarified the process to Page Six.

“The studies are inconclusive but anecdotally, what we’re seeing is that women who are bringing their placenta back into their bodies this way are reporting that their milk supplies are better for the baby, their energy is higher, they don’t seem to be struggling with postpartum depression to the extent that women [who] are not doing this may be.”

Her clients pay $275, and that includes having Joni available for any worries or queries. She retrieves the placenta from the medical facility where her client had the baby and then creates the pills with either the Raw Foods Method (chosen by Kim) or the Traditional Chinese Method. New moms get 100 to 200 pills back in about 24 hours and are told to swallow one pill three times daily.

“Some moms, when they start to feel like they are landing on their feet OK, [will] stop taking the capsules and save them for hormonally challenging periods in the future,” added Lucarelli. “By putting them in a Ziploc and throwing them in the freezer — [for] days of PMS or menopause if they want to drag along for that many years.”
