‘RHOBH’ Yolanda Foster’s Divorce Turns Bitter? David Reportedly Wants A Refund For Pricey Lyme Disease Treatments

Yolanda Foster and her husband, David, are reportedly locked in a bitter dispute over medical costs stemming from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star’s Lyme disease.

According to a December 15 report by Radar Online, Yolanda Foster and David’s lawyers are “attempting to reach a settlement that will allow them to file for divorce and submit the proposed agreement to the judge all at the same time.”

However, while Yolanda Foster and her former partner are attempting to work things out between themselves, rather than be dragged through a court battle, they are allegedly at odds over the money David has spent on Yolanda Foster’s Lyme disease treatments.

“[David] spent a fortune on medical treatments for [Yolanda Foster]’s Lyme disease that weren’t covered by medical insurance. As the expensive alternative medical treatments progressed and David wasn’t seeing her get any better, he urged [Yolanda Foster] to stop going overseas.”

Although David wanted Yolanda Foster to stop traveling to other countries for treatment (Yolanda Foster did so in order to seek help in ways that were not yet authorized in the United States), she reportedly refused, which resulted in David being stuck paying the bills. And while David is reportedly worth an estimated $30 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth, Radar Online‘s source claims his record label is shutting down, and he “needs that money.”

In response to David’s request for a refund, Yolanda Foster “is disgusted that David is asking for that money and has instructed her lawyer to not to even entertain it as part of the settlement,” the source explained.

Yolanda Foster and her husband tied the knot in November, 2011, a short time before she signed a deal with Bravo to appear as a full-time cast member on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and months before she was diagnosed with Lyme disease. Then, on the day of the Season 6 premiere, Yolanda Foster and her husband released a joint statement to press, confirming they were divorcing after just four years of marriage.

Since her diagnosis, Yolanda Foster has continued to struggle with symptoms of Lyme disease, and chronicled her battle both on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and on social media. While Yolanda Foster appeared to be doing okay at the end of last year, she relapsed months later, and has been devastated by the disease ever since. Following her December, 2014, relapse, Yolanda Foster was seen very ill at the taping for the Bravo reality series’ reunion special, and ultimately left early which seemed to hint that she wouldn’t be a part of season six. However, Yolanda Foster did return to the show, and continues to share her Lyme disease fight with fans.

During upcoming episodes of the sixth season, Yolanda Foster’s illness will be a hot topic amongst her co-stars, and on tonight’s new show, fans will watch as Taylor Armstrong returns to the show, and begins to pose questions into the diagnosis. In one particular sneak peek at The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Armstrong is seen chatting with Lisa Rinna, claiming Yolanda Foster frequently shares contradicting selfies of herself on Instagram. Still, many of the show’s stars have spoken out in Yolanda Foster’s defense, claiming there’s no question that she is truly sick.
