50 Cent Hospitalized After Bad Wreck

Rapper 50 Cent was in the hospital after getting into a bad car wreck last night/early this morning, but he’s pretty much alright.

50 Cent was hospitalized after a a car accident on New York’s Long Island Expressway which occurred last night. According to reports, the 36-year-old artist was in his bullet-proof SUV when it was rear-ended by a red Mack truck, causing it to nearly flip over. The NYPD and the FDNY could not immediately confirm reports regarding the accident.

Though initial early morning reports seemed to indicate that he had been rushed to the hospital after a serious car wreck, he seems to have escaped the accident with only minor injuries. Pictures on Thisis50.com show him conscious in a neck brace and on a stretcher, and he doesn’t appear to be in agonizing pain. He’s currently in the hospital being treated and getting tests done on his neck and back.

A rep for the rapper has issued a statement regarding the incident:

“(50 Cent) was taken to New York Hospital Queens where he was treated for minor neck and back injuries,” the rapper’s rep told the Daily News. “He was released this morning and is doing fine.”
