Selena Gomez Rocks Red Carpet & Dishes Niall Horan Dating Rumors As Justin Bieber Offers Hope To ‘Jelena’ Beliebers

Selena Gomez recently rocked the red carpet while providing the world with the latest and greatest information on the question of just whom she’s been dating after her highly-publicized split from teen idol Justin Bieber. And even though Selena and Niall Horan of One Direction fame have been spotted together on what appeared to be a date, Gomez insists that they’re just platonic pals, reported Entertainment Tonight.

Ready to dish when she was interviewed at Billboard’s 10th Annual Women in Music event, Selena carefully contradicted any indications that she and Niall are a couple. However, the 23-year-old did express her admiration for Horan.

“Oh my god! No,” Gomez insisted regarding a romance. “I love him, I always have. He’s amazing.”

Selena was equally insistent when she discussed her reaction on social media to implications that she lip-synced her performance for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

“Yes I f**king sing live,” Gomez slammed.

Why the hostility?

“I just felt like for me, I am in a place where it is my right to say something and defend myself, because I’m always kind, I’m always nice,” Selena clarified. “Every now and then I deserve to say what I feel.”

Gomez halted traffic on the red carpet with the glitter and glam that she emanated, resulting from her choice of a Rodarte dress shining with Swarovski crystals. Add black tights paired with silver and black stilettos, and Selena proved that she’s graduated to sophisticated style.

But despite her denial, Selena was spotted kissing Niall at Jenna Dewan-Tatum’s 35th birthday party, revealed a source to ET.

“They tried their best to keep to themselves in their private booth behind the DJ table in the main room but that was not happening,” the insider revealed. “Selena seemed super into it.”

And one observer described the 23-year-old pop princess and 22-year-old boy band singer as “flirty,” with Niall rubbing Gomez’s back, putting his arm around her, and getting close as they talked.

Moreover, Selena herself added to the romance reports by sharing her views on Instagram about One Direction versus her former boyfriend, Justin Bieber.

“My friend likes jb and 1d but idk which one to get him? Purpose or Made in the AM?” asked Instagram user @disneylandgomez.

Gomez opted for One Direction, disappointing those who hoped that she would indicate a chance for her reconciliation with Justin and the return of “Jelena.”

“Made in the AM,” shared Selena.

Ouch. Moreover, Gomez recently revealed that she wants date men who are older, which eliminates both Bieber and Niall.

“I feel like I look 16 sometimes, which is a bummer, because I would love to date older guys,” said Selena.

But when it comes to what Gomez really wants, she made it clear to the One Direction singer just what she feels Justin did wrong in their relationship, a source told Hollywood Life.

After feeling hurt by Bieber, Selena cautioned Horan that it’s time to step up and determine if he wants her as a true girlfriend or just a pal.

“Selena likes Niall and Niall likes Selena; that is obvious,” an insider revealed to Hollywood Life. “But Selena has told Niall that if he takes her for granted, then she is not going to take it and will definitely let him go. She is over that type of nonsense… She is prepared to be his friend or something more, the ball is in his court to flourish or sabotage.”

So, does hope exist for Jelena fans? As the Inquisitr reported, Bieber offered hope to those who still Belieb in Jelena (Justin plus Selena) by posting a 2012 throwback photo depicting Bieber and Gomez strolling and holding hands.

The post came just a day after Niall and Selena were seen engaged in PDA. Fans went wild, with Likes soaring into the millions, as shown above.

“Crazy throwback,” opined Justin.

Gomez and Bieber were together for a roller-coaster period of three years.

They ended their romance in 2014, then got Jelena hopefuls excited when they joined together last month, complete with a sweet serenade from Justin to Gomez and stroll.

In addition, Bieber just fanned the flames of Jelena wishers by posting videos showing himself crooning “Nothing Like Us” (supposedly about Selena) on Instagram while Gomez was performing with Zedd at Z-100’s Jingle Ball, reported the Mirror.

In addition to performing together, the two were seen kissing behind the scenes.
