Chris Brown Dissing Karrueche Tran And Drake In ‘Roses Turn Blue’? Fans Speculate On Twitter

Chris Brown may have surprised fans with the release of his 34-track mixtape, titled Before The Party, on Black Friday, but it looks like the conversation surrounding some of the songs on Brown’s new mixtape is still a cause for debate among fans.

Last month, Chris Brown took to Instagram to announce that he was releasing his Before The Party mixtape just weeks ahead of the scheduled release of his new album, Royalty. While the 34-song mixtape features both old and new songs from Brown, including tracks like “Come Home Tonight,” “Counterfeit,” and “Here We Go Again,” fans began pointing out that there are several songs from Chris Brown’s mixtape that appear to be aimed at Brown’s ex-girlfriend, Karrueche Tran.

Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran broke up earlier this year after Tran learned that Brown had fathered a child with model Nia Guzman, prompting several headline-making feuds to spawn out of the duo’s abrupt split.

While rumors began circulating that Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran were considering getting back together following the release of Brown’s emotional track, “The Breakup,” other fans pointed out that there are plenty of other diss tracks seemingly aimed at Karrueche featured on Chris’ new mixtape.

One song in particular, “Roses Turn Blue,” is fueling speculation that Chris Brown is still bitter over rumors suggesting that Karrueche Tran had a romantic relationship with Drake while Brown served a jail sentence in 2014.

In the song, Brown sings, “Girl I double dare you, to keep it all the way 100 with me if I’m your man / I’m not gon’ lie, I’m scared too, I know you got something to tell me / ’cause you’re f***ing up our speech / So baby tell me where you were, I’m sick and tired, I know you saw me calling / I think our s*** has been over, for a while now.”

Fans took to Twitter to weigh-in on the song’s cryptic lyrics, with one fan arguing, “Roses turn blue has to be about Karrueche going on dates with drake,” while another adds, “‘Roses turn blue’ is about Karrueche f***ing Drake lol.”

Just two months before their split, Chris Brown announced his newly single status on Instagram while lashing out at Karrueche by implying that she had been seeing Drake behind his back while Brown was serving a jail sentence for violating his probation, MTV reports.

“We’ve got scars, some of them u gave me, some of them I’ve caused. That ride or die act we have been fooling the world with obviously ain’t working. I was locked up for damn near 4 months and only got 1 visit from you while u was hosting parties and taking secret trips to Toronto, going on dates with Drake!”

While Karrueche Tran and Drake denied the dating claims, Drake seemingly referenced Brown and Karrueche’s tumultuous romance in his track “Live From The Gutter,” which appeared on his What A Time To Be Alive mixtape.

In the song, Drake raps, “This is for my n****s on that bull**** and that nonsense, this is for my dawgs that go Karrueche with the chopsticks.”

In response to Drake’s diss, Chris Brown posted a video on Instagram telling fans that he’s “too blessed for the bull****” before accusing Drake of trying to use his name to “rely on hype to gain substance” for his music, E! Online reports.

While Chris Brown hasn’t commented on the speculation surrounding “Roses Turn Blue,” rumors also suggest that Brown’s impending track, “KAE,” from his upcoming Royalty album will also address his split from Tran.
