WWE News: WWE Has Major Plans For NXT Stars Jason Jordan And Chad Gable In 2016

WWE NXT stars Jason Jordan and Chad Gable have been huge standouts the last number of months. They really came on toward the end of this year and fans have been able to grow into a nice following. Jason Jordan was always seen as a specimen of good value with athletic ability for days. His wrestling ability alone was worthy of being with WWE, but something was missing: personality.

Then, Chad Gable came along. While he is a smaller man compared to Jordan, Gable was able to join Jordan to form a tag team. This allowed for Jordan to be exposed to the brilliant personality oozing out of Gable and tap into his own. Gable has been great from the beginning but has learned a lot from Jordan, while Jordan has picked up a lot of pointers on personality from Gable.

The two make us feel like they are having fun. The stories they are able to tell as wrestlers in the ring are absolutely brilliant, as well. Fans have been high on the duo the past few months and the NXT crowd has started to relate Gable to a young Kurt Angle. Some have even gone as far as to sing Angle’s theme with Gable’s name. Now, it appears that WWE has big plans for the team.

According to Cageside Seats, WWE holds the stance that the two athletes are much better off together versus singles right now. That means the partnership won’t break up any time soon, but that also means we will most likely see a NXT Tag Team Championship run at some point in 2016. WWE seems to have big plans for the pair as part of NXT’s future, which means we very well could see them work some singles matches off and on, as well.

Due to all of the talent WWE is bringing in to be part of NXT, it does not make sense to push two other singles workers when they could use the two as a tag team for a while. On top of this, NXT will lose a few tag teams to the main roster in 2016.

Many believed that due to the popularity of Gable, Jordan would eventually get storyline jealous and take out his frustrations on Gable. That would force the two to split and probably would allow Jordan to be pushed as the next big heel while Gable climbed the ladder as the underdog babyface. However, WWE seems to be holding off on this. At least, presently, it is on hold. We can imagine how it would go, though.

To most people, Gable is almost like a young Daniel Bryan. He is the same size, and has supremely good technical wrestling ability. Arguably, his personality at this stage of his career is ahead of where Bryan’s was. Gable is 29-years-old with a massively decorated amateur wrestling career. He even competed in the Olympic Games. This does not even include his international accomplishments.

Bryan accomplished a great deal before arriving. The difference between these two guys is that fans knew Bryan well before he arrived in WWE, whereas few pro-wrestling fans knew of Gable. However, looking at the history with both men, they match up far more than people realize. Some would say that if WWE played their cards right with Chad Gable, he could be the WWE’s next big, underdog babyface. Gable is still young, so he has some time to accomplish more.

Jordan is no slouch, either. While his career away from WWE does not match up to his partner’s, Jordan does have an extensive amateur career. He was a big standout at Indiana University and was able to leave the school as one of the best wrestlers in its history; his face was painted on the Indiana University gym’s wall in 2010. He left school with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and had three minors in Social Science, Chemistry, and Medicine. He was looking to become a dentist but put it on hold to try a career in WWE, which had been a dream of his.

Both guys have accomplished a lot, and they could very well be a huge focus of WWE NXT in 2016.
