Anna Duggar Divorce: Couple Reportedly Exchanging Love Letters, Anna May Be Backing Off Plans To Divorce Josh

Anna Duggar has been facing divorce rumors for weeks in the wake of her husband’s very public sex scandal, but now new reports indicate that she may be planning to stick with Josh.

The couple has been on shaky ground since it was revealed that Josh was cheating on Anna. Though the couple hasn’t done much in the way of publicly addressing the allegations, sources close to the family claimed that Anna was devastated and leaning toward leaving Josh.

That may no longer be the case. A new report from Entertainment Tonight claims that Josh and Anna have been exchanging love letters while Josh is away at rehab, and that Anna is now leaning toward taking her husband back.

Josh Duggar has been at the Illinois rehab facility for several months, leaving his wife and young children in the wake of his very public sex scandal. His wife Anna paid her first visit to Josh just before Thanksgiving, and the meeting was reportedly a difficult one.

As In Touch Weekly reported, Anna Duggar left the kids at home (other than 5-month-old Meredith) as she planned on grilling Josh over his very public sex scandals, including using the cheating site Ashley Madison and then being accused of paying adult film stars for sex.

The report noted that Anna Duggar was considering divorce in the past few weeks, and wanted to clear the air with Josh at their meeting. One of the biggest points was the allegation from adult film star Danica Dillon that Josh paid for sex with her, and then got rough.

“Anna has felt really lonely since Josh went away. And wholeheartedly believes everything he tells her,” the insider said. “She believes Josh cheated on her — because he admitted he did — but she does not believe Danica’s story. She doesn’t think Josh could be so aggressive.”

But Josh Duggar still denies the allegations from Danica Dillon, reportedly telling Anna that “since he was living a life of sin, he isn’t surprised that people are making things up about him.”

The source insinuated that Josh could still be trying to hide his misdeeds from Anna.

“Josh doesn’t confess anything until he is absolutely caught in a lie,” the source said.

There is still more public drama to come for Josh and Anna Duggar. Anna is set to publicly break her silence on Sunday, appearing on the TLC special Jill & Jessa: Counting On. The program is set to address Josh’s scandals, which ended up sinking the popular 19 Kids and Counting.

The allegations from Danica Dillon have been particularly hurtful. The adult film star is suing Josh for $500,000, claiming that he committed battery against her during their “violent sex” earlier this year. The lawsuit could end up dredging up more dirt on Josh, including questions about cheating on his wife and his porn addiction.

“The defendant may be subject to [having to talk about] his prior bad [or] sexually abusive acts at trial,” Danica’s attorney Marc Frumer told In Touch. “They are all relevant if he takes the stand.”

Josh’s scandals have already exposed the family and brought an end to their lucrative reality television empire. Reports found that his parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, had initially waited 16 months to tell police after Josh admitted to molesting his sisters.

But amid the divorce rumors, Anna Duggar and Josh could still have some hope of staying together. The source told In Touch Weekly that Anna was upset when it came time to leave Josh, and plans to make a second visit around Christmas time, this one with the kids.
