Judd Apatow Slams Supreme Court Decision in Twitter Rant

Producer-Director Judd Apatow is usually known for his funny tweets on the twittosphere, but he had a few choice words for the Supreme Court and none of them consisted of jokes. In a rant on twitter, Apatow tweeted angrily on Monday morning over the court’s decision in American Tradition Partnership, Inc vs Bullock.

The verdict came in as a 5-4 count which upheld the decision to allow corporations and individuals to donate an unlimited amount of money to Spur Pacs on behalf of politicians and various political causes. Apatow wasn’t happy about this verdict and took to Twitter to complain in anguish, tweeting, “How many times to do people need to get f—ed before they wake up? The people who bankrupted the country want to make up all the rules.” The Knocked Up director added that this ruling was all about, “very rich old men having enough money to get the government to serve them and not you.”

Apatow not only went on, but also had an entire conversation with some of his followers about the decision and how it will affect people. Various tweets included the former comedian tweeting the following:

Our supreme court has been co opted by big money interests. It is tragic for our country.Nothing good comes of billion dollar elections.

I don’t understand why anyone thinks a bunch of billionaires personally giving tens of millions of dollars to campaigns will benefit them.

I think both sides have major problems, and it is all a mess, but don’t put your faith in banks and and oil and gas companies.
