Rob Kardashian Demanded $50,000 For Christmas Card Appearance?

Rob Kardashian’s family was reportedly hoping he would participate in the family’s annual Christmas card for 2015, but unfortunately, it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. As Rob Kardashian remains silent on Instagram, aside from a post promoting his sister Kylie’s recently-released lip kits, a report has surfaced, claiming he demanded $50,000 for his participation.

“This year, [Rob Kardashian] refused to appear,” a source told Life & Style magazine, according to a December 10 report by Hollywood Life. “But Kris begged him, and he demanded $50,000.”

While it has yet to be officially confirmed whether or not Rob Kardashian will take part in the annual photo shoot, which his family has been doing for years, it’s highly unlikely as the reality-star-turned-sock-designer continues to struggle with issues of weight gain and depression.

“[Rob Kardashian] is still struggling, he’s made progress but he still isn’t comfortable being seen in public,” a source explained to Hollywood Life in November. “[Rob Kardashian] doesn’t want to be on their Christmas card, he’s said he won’t do it this year, it’s causing a lot of drama.”

Since 2012, Rob Kardashian has been making it a point to stay out of the spotlight as his personal issues continued, leading to what has been reported as a 100-pound weight gain. Although Rob Kardashian attempted to attend the 2014 wedding of his sister, Kim, he eventually seemed to crack under the pressure, and after being photographed at the airport, he returned home to Los Angeles and missed the ceremony completely.

“[Rob Kardashian] lives with Khloe,” Jenner explained during an appearance on SiriusXM’s Conversations with Maria Menounos earlier this month. “So he was around, and then went over to a buddy’s house. He’s doing all right. You know, he’s doing his best. He’s not into being on camera as much as the rest of us. But he’s working on himself. He’s going to be okay.”

For the last few years, Rob Kardashian had been living with his sister, Khloe, who appears to be the closest family member to him, but in mid-November, he was said to have moved out. According to an X17 Online report weeks ago, Rob Kardashian is currently living at his old apartment, and his mom recently paid him a visit.

In the last few months, Rob Kardashian has been rumored to be in talks for a return to Keeping Up With The Kardashians. In September, Us Weekly shared news, claiming Rob Kardashian had lost more than 15 pounds, and was preparing for his reality television comeback as he worked out with celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson, and embarked on a diet prepared by a chef.

The site also claimed Rob Kardashian had finally gotten motivated to get back to his old self after realizing how much money he was losing by not appearing on the E! reality show.

“[Rob Kardashian]’s not getting paid if he doesn’t film,” a source told the magazine, adding that the 28-year-old had already started filming scenes for Keeping Up With The Kardashians season 11. “[Rob Kardashian] has a $2 million-a-year contract. He realized he couldn’t give up this huge opportunity.”

Also struggling with personal issues is Scott Disick, Rob Kardashian’s friend and the boyfriend of his sister, Kourtney. Luckily, however, amid filming on season 11, Disick entered a 30-day treatment program to address his substance abuse problems, and appears to be doing better since leaving rehab last month.
