Arkansas State University Evacuated After Reports Of Active Shooter, Suspect Now In Custody [Breaking]
Arkansas State University reported a man with a weapon on campus on Thursday. The suspect is now in custody.

An Arkansas State spokesman said one person with a weapon was surrounded by police. No shots have been fired and no injuries were reported.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette published a photo of a pickup truck with an American flag flying from the bed, saying it was the suspect’s vehicle. The pickup is seen stopped near a walkway and by a paved area with tables and benches. Earlier witnesses reported the suspect was in a green truck on the student union lawn.

Other social media photos showed the man holding a shotgun and a flag draped on his truck which appeared to say “Don’t Tread On Me”. He was also reported to have two propane tanks at the back of his truck. According to a CNN report, a spokesman said that the man drove onto campus and crashed into a barrier. Police were on the scene.
The Arkansas State University is located in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
The campus remains on lockdown until further notice.
