‘Jill And Jessa: Counting On’: TLC Posts Extended First Look, Including Labor Pains And Plenty Of Tears

Jill and Jessa: Counting On is headed to TLC for a three-part special on December 13. Devoted Duggar fans have been anxiously waiting for the premiere on Sunday and now TLC has chosen to post an extended preview for them to see what is coming up for the next three weeks.

While a very short preview had already been seen with both girls touching just a little bit on their brother Josh Duggar’s sex scandal, and also Anna’s heartbreaking reaction to her husband cheating, this one that was posted on TLC’s website reveals even more. As seen this morning on Good Morning America, Jinger, John David, and Jana Duggar were also featured talking about their brother. This new video seems to show even more tears coming from the siblings. Even John David had tears flowing, as well as his sisters. It seems that he was pretty shocked to learn of the big secret Josh Duggar was keeping from them.

“I don’t think there was any way that any of us would have known that my brother was living such a secret life.”

You can tell just how much hurt Josh has caused everyone in the family. Jill said in the video that she is hopeful that they can all move past this and be stronger for it. Anna was also seen playing with her baby daughter, Meredith Grace, who is now five months old. Jessa mentioned that people think that they claimed to be perfect, but that they never said that they were.

The family is seen praying quite a bit as that is how they get through their trials. Jill Dillard talked briefly on how just because you pray doesn’t mean that everything will work out or that everything is always “beautiful and happy and cheery.”

This series will feature Jill’s life as a missionary in Central America with her own family, Derick and Israel. They made a trip back briefly in October but the reality couple had to head back. This time they stated that it will be about a year before they are able to make it back to Arkansas. Their farewell to their family and friends were shown in photos to be quite emotional, as stated by International Business Times. TLC will be showing them saying goodbye as well as their new life overseas.

After all of the tears, Jill and Jessa are shown moving forward with their lives the best they can, as well as the rest of the Duggar family. In one clip, Jessa is shown having early labor pains as she was having a video chat with Jill and Derick. The next thing you see is her in heavy duty labor leaning against her husband, Ben Seewald, preparing for the home birth. Jana Duggar is also there with her helping her through.

Her labor and delivery of son Spurgeon will definitely be aired, as well as the emergency trip to the hospital due to heavy bleeding after the baby was born. It was a scary time for the new mom, and fans will be able to see exactly how it all happened. The preview showed Jessa getting pulled out on the gurney into the ambulance with Michelle Duggar standing by.

It looks like there will be plenty of raw emotions, drama, and also happy moments throughout the three-part show. Many are waiting to find out if Anna Duggar will expand more on her husband’s infidelity. This will be the first time she is speaking out about it. She said that at first she didn’t think that it could be true, but now she has been trying to deal with this situation.

There are many mixed reactions on this upcoming show. TLC decided to let fans in on the life that Jill and Jessa have made for themselves. Viewers of the now-canceled 19 Kids and Counting were not happy that they were not able to see the birth of Jessa’s firstborn like they did with her sister, so this will make them happy for now.
