Last week, Charlie Sheen’s former fiancée Scottine Ross, who goes by the stage name Brett Rossi, sued him for allegedly forcing her to undergo an abortion, but the actor isn’t going down without a fight of his own. The former Two and a Half Men star filed his own petition this week, accusing Rossi of violating a non-disclosure agreement.
Fox 411 reports that Sheen, 50, filed a petition on December 7, seeking to get Rossi’s lawsuit against him thrown out of court and handled in arbitration. Sheen claims that Rossi engaged in extortion. Yet Ross’ attorney David Ring says that Sheen is lying and that no extortion ever occurred.
“Mr. Sheen’s petition was predictable; like any bully, he attacks the victim and makes character assassinations. His claim that he was somehow ‘extorted’ is a flat-out lie. Mr. Sheen had his lawyers negotiate a settlement to resolve Ms. Ross’s valid legal claims, and then Mr. Sheen reneged on the deal. Ms. Ross was left with no alternative but to file suit. We look forward to proving all of her claims in front of a Los Angeles jury in open court.”
Sheen’s attorneys, however, disagree. Court documents indicate that Rossi is being accused of attempting “to extort millions of dollars by disclosing Sheen’s medical condition even though she had signed a confidentiality agreement.”
Yet the confidentiality agreement allegedly came with a price of $1 million, something that Sheen reportedly failed to pay to Ross when he didn’t show up to an arranged meeting. The next day, Ross filed a lawsuit against the actor, accusing him not only of forcing to get an abortion in 2014, but also of emotional and physical abuse. She also accuses Sheen of failing to tell her he was HIV positive when they started dating.
The petition claims that almost everything Ross, a former adult film star, accuses Sheen of is untrue. Sheen denies ever physically or emotionally abusing Ross, and also says that his ex fiancée was never forced to get an abortion. According to the petition,
“He never kicked, choked, dragged, shook, or struck Rossi, and he never threatened to kill her or forced her to have an abortion, as she wildly alleges.”
The petition also brings up Ross’ former occupation as an adult film actress, a career that exposed her to numerous sexual partners. Sheen’s lawyers stated that it was a risk Ross took when working her job and a risk she took when sleeping with Sheen.
“Exposure to sexually transmitted diseases is a risk that she knowingly and willingly accepts every time she has sex on film, and she made the same choice when it came to Sheen.”
Regardless of what Sheen’s camp claims, however, Ross maintains that she isn’t extorting the actor, nor it is possible to extort him since she’s being out in the open about her past with him.
“I can’t extort him. I’m out here telling everyone my side of the story.”
Meanwhile, other celebrities are chiming in on Sheen’s medical condition, including Deliverance actor Burt Reynolds. While providing an interview for the U.K. talk show Loose Women, Reynolds suggested that Charlie Sheen deserved to be HIV positive, given his past history with partying and drugs.
“For Charlie, no. No, he deserved it. He misbehaved badly. Very badly. But you know, when you’re that age it’s tough. All those things are coming at you and it’s difficult.”
