‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’ — Ezra Miller’s The Flash And Jason Momoa’s Aquaman Cameos Just Confirmed?

A few exciting developments have surfaced about Warner Bros. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. In particular, the idea that The Flash and Aquaman would be making cameos in the movie may have been confirmed in a recent interview with Michael Wilkinson, the costume designer for the film.

According to Comic Book, Wilkinson recently revealed that Ezra Miller has been cast for the part of The Flash and will be making an appearance at some point in the movie. The cameo of The Flash in Batman v Superman means that five out of the seven Justice League members will have been introduced on the big screens.

“He will have a thinner silhouette and will not be as strong as the other heroes of the Justice League,” Wilkinson stated.

According to Comic Book Resources, Wilkinson went on to confirm that fans will at least catch a glimpse of the super speedster in the upcoming movie.

“Well, I’m not really at the liberty to talk about the Flash right now, but it’s something that you’ll be seeing in the future in our films,” he stated. “You do get a glimpse of him, of course, in Batman v Superman.”

While fans are sure to be excited at the prospects of seeing The Flash in the movie, Wilkinson revealed that Miller is the perfect actor for the role, given his sense of humor.

“But I’m really looking forward to taking the amazing, iconic costume for the Flash and interpreting it in a fresh way where Ezra Miller is playing the Flash,” he said. “He’s an extraordinary performer, he has a sort of interesting sense of humor and the youth that will be great for Barry Allen and I think he’s going to make a great Flash.”

At the same time, Comic Book News is also reporting that Wilkinson revealed more details concerning Jason Momoa’s part as Aquaman. While Wilkinson did not share as much as he did about The Flash, he did explain how Aquaman’s costume will see a few different versions throughout the course of the film.

“[Momoa] will have two uniforms in the movie. He will start one way and will develop for a different look,” Wilkinson stated in the interview.

Meanwhile, a new trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has officially been released, unleashing even more spoilers about the film. Along with revealing that Doomsday will make an appearance in the movie, the video shows an interesting scene involving Superman (Henry Cavill) taking off Batman’s (Ben Affleck) cowl while the latter is chained to a wall.

This scene also includes Batman fighting against soldiers and flying creatures in some kind of desert setting. Although many fans quickly tried to make sense of the scene, Wilkinson explained how none of it is real. Instead, Batman was apparently having some kind of nightmare about what the future would look like with Superman in charge.

“In Wayne’s dream, the world turned into a post-apocalyptic wasteland in the style of Mad Max, in which Superman became a despot and have an army of followers, composed of soldiers and by flying beings that appear in the trailer,” Wilkinson shared. “… It’s like the end of the world, trying to survive and then of course Superman and his minions come, so it’s sort of a way of representing the amazing amounts of, the sort of obsessive quality that Bruce Wayne has about the threat of Superman.”

At this point, it isn’t clear how The Flash and Aquaman will be included in the film, and how they might play a part in Batman’s fight against Superman.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to premiere in theaters on March 25, 2016.
